Good Morning all
I am up early have a political breakfast to attend. Then I am coming home to bake. Have lot of functions to bake for and I intend to freeze many cakes and then just take out and ice when needed.
We went to my niece's house yesterday for the
May birthdays, she surprised her husband whose birthday is in June with this gift. They are flying to Vegas next Friday. He was floored. They have been married 1 1/2 years and are both nurses in the same hospital. So she cleared it with his boss. Nice to be invited, since I always have everything at my home.
I sat with my SIL and Brother and planned our cruise together. I have a lot of questions, since it has been 30 years since I was on a cruise.
The weather is beautiful and today is the same. My Dh is working so doesn't get to enjoy the day.
Well off to start laundry etc etc before I leave at 8:30 am.
Everyone have a great day

Good morning Linda and everyone who comes later.
I hope each of you had a great day yesterday.I didn't do much,Kaitlyn and I planted some of our flowers. Then she left me to finish while she played wth her puppy.I put some flowers on Mom's grave because I wouldn't have time this morning with cooking and getting ready for church.
Don't know what I'll do this afternoon haven't made any plans yet.

Linda, thats some big surprise your niece gave to her DH.
I'm looking forward to you going on your trip and then telling us all about it.I love to hear about the wonderful times people have on their vacations.

Better get back to my cooking. Will try to get back on later.

Pat

Good afternoon Linda, Pat and all who follow. I just got home and am exhausted! I went to the laundromat and then did my monthly run to WalMart and just finished getting my car unloaded. I've had a headache today so stopped by McDonalds for a quick lunch and took some asprin...hopefully I'll start feeling better soon.

It's a beautiful day out today; a lot nicer than yesterday! There was a lot of traffic and commotion in town today since most of the students are moving out for the summer. Yesterday was graduation and then today the different schools are having their individual ceremonies. Most of the students will have moved out by today, although a few are waiting until next week. Woo hoo...we get our town back for a few months!

Linda - I'm glad you got to go to someone else's house for a change. You are like my eldest sister, she hosts most of the family get togethers, but then, she has the largest family too. I told her that if I had a larger house, I would love to host a few things.

Pat - did you get all your cooking done for your churches memorial day celebration? It sounded like you were cooking some very good food. I'm glad you were able to get to your mother's grave yesterday. I've been trying to buy some flowers for our famly graves a little at a time and hope to have them all by memorial day. My eldest sister and I usually decorate the graves the Friday of Memorial Day weekend, but looks like I'll be doing it by myself this year since she is having surgery. I would like to get a basket put together for Mom's grave for Mothers Day, but am not sure I'll get that done this year.

Debbie - I don't know what happened to your post the other day, I noticed that odd message and wondered what was gong on. Yes that was my new outfit that I'm wearing in my new picture...those were the first new clothes I've bought in several years, with the exception of underwear and shoes. I'm glad you liked my flowers...they were pretty weren't they. Wink I hope your breakfast cookout was good...I understand how difficult it will be for you. I hope you could enjoy it at least a little.

I guess I had better get off this computer and get some work done. I have to pay some bills, that is a job that never seems to end, and straighten up the kitchen, another never ending job. Have a nice day!

We had a large crowd for our memorial service today.Tons of food, all kinds of great looking dishes and desserts. We had very little food left so we had breakfast for supper tonight.
I posted a picture of Moms flowers on myspace pictures.I took them after everyone left,I should have thought to take my camera there during the dinner, but I didn't.
Hope all of you had a great day.

Got to go now,the girls and I are going to watch Deal or No Deal.

Good night ,sleep well.

Pat
