Okay, I just had a mini-kitchen remodel about 2 years ago. Originally, there had been a double wall oven but the owners had replaced it with a 24" single oven. My favorite baking sheet wouldn't fit! So finally, my teeny oven just couldn't crank out the heat, I would have to set it to 550 to get the temp to 325! Mad Well, one thing lead to another and we replaced the oven, cook top with a range and the counter tops as well. Here is what it looked like before. Brandon is standing front of the old oven and just to the left of our fridge which almost out of the picture.

Here is what it looks like now.

We don't have a gas line to the house so I chose a flat top range with a double oven.

Here is where we took out the old oven and put in storage instead, this is where all my pots and pans are.

Nice kitchen Cathy! I love all of the colors AND especially, your hardwood floors! (aaahhhh, I have to keep dreaming there) I'm also digging your pic in the dinning room, did you do that artwork?

Ha Ha--No, I only wish I could do artwork. My sister inherited that gene Laughing

Thanks for the compliment--I do like colors---they make me happy. Very Happy

Jenny--Your kitchen is beautiful. I am jealous of the new stove. Mine is so old, I have to monkey with the temperature all of the time.

Nice kitchens Cathy and Jenny. I'll need to straighten mine up before I post any pictures. The counters need some rearranging.

Jenny, nice kitchen! Is your floor ceramic tiles or laminate tiles? If ceramic, we have the same floor! (of course, mine is covered with drywall dust at the moment LOL) I would like to have wood floors, but we just did the ceramic about 6 years ago. (Jim would seriously KILL me if I wanted to change the floor too Shocked )

DD, mine is ceramic, neat! ...yeah, I want hardwood too. We have carpet under our kitchen table! Rolling Eyes It is on the other side of that counter to the right. I would have loved to get new floors too (actually, I would have loved to gut it! LOL!) but I think the new counter tops did a wonder for it.

OK, I am finally going to do it... Shocked
Here are the pictures of my apartment kitchen after I got done shopping at IKEA over the last year to make it somewhat workable and use EVERY single bit of space for storage... Even still, my storage bleeds over into my small dining area... But it's functional now, cluttered, but functional... My landlord is gonna HATE me when I move out, because of all the holes in the walls... Wink

Entering the kitchen from the living room... Behind the doors on the lower shelves is my dry pantry. What doesn't fit in there is in canisters all over the rest of the kitchen.

Above my stove (on the other side of the bookcase) are my precious copper pots

Had a little room next to the stove so I picked up a slimline storage thing on rollers at WalMart or Target, cant remember which, to store pizza peel, cooling racks and baking sheets.

Above the refrigerator - Sugars and Cast Iron are stacked...along with the Microwave/Convection oven.

At the back, was a blank wall so I put a kitchen cart there for appliance purposes and added shelving for more storage of plates and flour. And yes, that is the hot water heater in the corner with cutting boards hanging off the earthquake straps.

Underneath is where I store my Pellegrino.. Wink This kind of gives a better perspective... Those are 12 inch tiles... there are 2 1/2 tiles from the cupboard on one side to the door of the refrigerator... Laughing
my kitchen floor space is 30 inches wide.

And over my sink are herbs, folding dish rack

And this is my Great Grandmother's Shaker Buffet loaded with serving dishes, depression glass and covered with more canisters with everything from Panko to dried cranberries. And more wall shelving holding cookbooks, coffee presses, xjing clay teapots and tea storage. The red light in the corner is a feng shui thing, that is my southwest corner, which is also why there is so much copper stored there (Red Metal, to cut the wood of the buffet)

So there is my cluttered and cramped kitchen... I will never admit that I have too much kitchen paraphernalia, cause I use it all... Laughing

Shane I don't think I have ever seen a better use of space. If there's a corner or a spot in your kitchen it has a purpose and a function. I'm so impressed, you are so organized. Damn now I really need to get it together. Embarassed

Wow Shane, you totally have a restaurant in there dude! I swear, I will never complain about not enough storage space again. (even though I just did, posting kitchen remodel pics lol)

I feel like I want to go shopping in your kitchen!!! You've got some pretty cool stuff. Smile

P.S....turn that one knife around so it's facing the same way as the others, it's bugging me. LOL
