GOOD MORNING and HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to ALL my FRIENDS.....What a beautiful day we are having here in W. V.'s going to be sunny, blue skies, nice breeze and 75*!! A beautiful day to go and visit Mom and take her some flowers! Besides that not too much else going on today, we will go over to visit DH parents and give DMIL a hanging basket for Mother's Day, that's what she ask for. She just had her kitchen remodeled and I thought she might what a new tablecloth or silk flower basket for her table and she said no if you want to get me something , just get me a hanging basket for the porch. We thought about taking her out to dinner, but they had already told one of her friends from church who lives by herself, they would take her out for dinner. So that's OK...Opel (that's the lady) lost her DH several years ago and her children live in different states and don't get in every holiday and won't be in for Mother's Day. So everyone needs someone to spend the day with! DD is on herway over with the boys...her DH has to work until nonm, then they are going out to his parents to give his Mom her gift and visit. She doesn't get to see the kids as much as I do, because she lives about an hour away! I usually see the kids almost everyday! Speaking of kids...Cody is slowly geting better....he was still running a temp of 104 most of yesterday morning and this morning DD said it was 100 and he is keeping his meds. down. His throat looks awful though...I looked at it yestrday afternoon and it was full of pus! I told him he needed to do everything his mommy take is meds, eat a little bit and stay quite until he fels better, so we can go outside and play next week and plant flower too. Now on to flowers....DH and I went to get his Mom a hanging basket yesterday and every place we past was packed..we were headed to a road side market we go to to get our flowrs and they of course were packed too. I had originally planned on picking out my flowers for my flower beds, so they would already be at the house when Cody and i wanted to plant them. But I wasn't feeling good yesterday and my fot was paining me so bad, that I didn't feel like fighting the crowds of people. I told DH, that DD andI would come over the first of the week! Here's another little story....DD had ask me to go with her andher DH when she has this Ultra-Sound, because it's the one that hopefuly will tell the This is spam. Please don't click. of the baby. Her appointment was scheduled for this coming Friday and the office called her Friday and said the had to re-schedule her for this Monday! We are all so excited...hopefully I'll be saying it's a GIRL! That's what we all would like to have this time, but We' will be so happy for whatever God Blesses us with! Anyway keep your fingers crossed and I'll let you all know!

***LINDA, Sounds like you have a nice quite day planned. At least you won't have to cook if you're doing take-out for dinner tonite. Hope you have a beautiful day!

***SHERYLE, Thanks so much for sharing the post from the Tea Rom. It was Beautiful. I'm going to copy it and share with my sisiters today! I hope you have a beautiful day as well!!

***KENNA, You know the ole saying....A womans work is NEVER done! And that is the truth! I feel that way about the laundry especially!Your Funfeti Cake Cokies sound the recipe on the side of the cake box? I might have to give them a try, the next time Cody and I do cookies together! I use to host Pampered Chef Parties...they are fun aren't they all the new foods you get to eat and new recipes. I do however have a few pieces that I have never used. The ones is use weekly are my round and retangle stones! I love those pieces! If you don't have one of those pieces...give the round stone a try, it makes awesome pizza! Hope you have a beautiful day!!

***PAT, Cody and I will probably plant flowers on Tuesday or Wednesday as Monday will be busy going to the doctor with DD and finishing up some painting and moving a few plants on Monday! I'm so sorry I guess I forgot that you mentioned you lost your mom. Today will be a sad day for you as well. Like you mentioned at least you have your DD and those wonderful grandchildren! They sure know how to bring a smile to our faces don't they? I hope you have a beautiful day!!

***PATTI, Glad you had a nice time with your sons for Mothr's day. How nice to be able to have you porch and gardens all ready for summer. It almost broke my heart when you said you and your Mom never got along, even though you tried and tried! That is so sad! The closeness and the memories of my Mom is what keeps me going! At least you were close to your Mother-in-law! I hope you have a beautiful day!

Well, I better get off here and get my morning chores done before it's lunch time. The cats have setting here staring at me meowing saying hey...are you ging to feed us breakfast!! Hello to eveyone that stops in today and I pray that ALL of YOU have a Beautiful Mothers Day!! Take care and remember to share a smile with someone! Love, Debbie

Good afternoon everyone...I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day. It's been such a lovely day that I hated to come inside. I just got home from decorating Mom's grave. This used to be such a big weekend in my family with cooking and then celebrating the day with our we all do our own thing. After I left the cemetary I took a little drive to Meijer and WalMart and then came home.

Linda - considering your normal schedule, sounds like you should have a fairly relaxing day today.

Debbie - I've been thinking of you all weekend and hope your day was nice in spite of missing your mother. You getting a haning basket for you MIL reminds me of my mother. Before her dementia took over and she was still at home, she always wanted flowers for Mother's Day so I would either get her a couple of hanging baskets or flowers for her garden. Once we had to put her in the nursing home, I would either get her clothes, perfumes, lotions or flowers. That is so nice of your in-laws to think of their friend on this special day. I'm glad you got to spend some time with your daughter and the boys too. Poor Cody, he must have been least now that he can keep his meds down, he should start getting better.

Kenna Lou - unfortunately you can never get housework done, there is always something to do. Yes dental work is very expensive, even with in sur ance. (I really can spell that word, but BakeSpace has it blocked so something else shows up when I spell it right) My dental in sur ance isn't the best in the world, but it's better than nothing. I'm still going to have to cough up around $1000 for the extractions, not including getting one or two bridges. Fortunately, one of the teeth being pulled is a wisdom tooth so I won't need a bridge for that one. How was the Pampered Chef party...did you get anything fun? I used to be a consultant several years ago and enjoyed it.

((Pat)) - I know just what you mean about this Mother's Day being as hard as the first. Our mother's must have passed pretty close to each other this is my second Mother's Day without Mom. I was thinking this year would be easier, but it wasn't..the other holidays haven't been so bad though. This one is still difficult. Did you get your flowers and other plants planted yesterday? I'm not Kenna Lou, but I'll answer your question about Pampered Chef. It's a party, similar to the old TuperWare parties only they sell cooking supplies and I think now food too. When I was a consultant we sold a lot of baking stones, food choppers and utensils. The consultant prepares several recipes using the products, that way you see how they work...and you get to eat the food. I sold it for a few years, until I got all the products I wanted and then stopped. By that time my mother was getting worse and I didn't have time to spend on the business.

((Patti)) - I'm so sorry to learn that you didn't have a good relationship with your mother...I'm sure that was hard for you. I had a wonderful one with Mom, but Dad was another love lost there, I'm sad to say. I no longer angry with him and have forgiven him for the past, but still wish we had been a bit closer. At least you sound like you have some wonderful in-laws! What a lovely morning you had yesterday with your son and daughter-in-law... your gardens and porch must be beautiful!

Well it just turned 6:00 PM and this lovely weekend is just about over, it has gone so fast! It's time to start thinking about dinner. I hope you all enjoy what's left you your special day.

FYI - there are certain keywords that we've added to our word censors.. I noticed one combination above which I'm sure is not spam. Sorry about the trouble. It's our only way to fight the spammers. Smile

Thanks Babette, at first I wondered what was going on and then realized it was that one word and managed to work around it.
