Good Morning, Everyone!
Summer has arrived for a brief visit. Yesterday, we had temperatures well into the 80's, and this morning it is already in the 70's. However, as quick as these temperatures rise, they also fall this time of year. The rest of the week will be in the 60's and 70's. Storms are forecasted later this afternoon.

Please share some ideas:
Have each of you decided what to make for supper this evening? Because Tuesday's are quite busy, I try to have leftovers on hand to make into something quick and easy - no leftovers today, though. I'm open to your suggestions - even something I can put together this morning.

Debbie -
Congratulations on the new grandchild due in September. My son and daughter-in-law are due in October, but she is always early. Who knows? We may have grandchildren around the same time??

Sheryle -
Don't feel bad about venting. Almost every office has one or two complainers. I hope you have a better day today.

Pat -
I hope your knee has started to heal, and the pain has lessened. How are you doing today?

I'd better get moving... always plenty to do here.

Hugs,
Vicki

Just a quick hello this morning. Trying to get the housework finished up and then have to go buy groceries. My youngest daughter has pop show tonight. We are having pizza made with the Chef Boy Ardee pizza kit. It's quick and easy for tonight!

I hope everyone has a great day! I will try to stop by later when I get things finished up around here.

Hugs, Kenna Lou

GOOD MORNING VICKI and OTHER FRIENDS that drop in....Another beautiful day in store for us today. It's going to be sunny and in the mid 80"s, but like you said Vicki as with Spring weather...it'll be changing after today! We are supposed to get rain after midnite and temps dropping into the 60's! We do need some rain though and I don't mind cooler temps either! Sorry I didn't get back on yesterday....I didn't make it back to the computer until 10 o'clock and by that time,I thought everyone probably wouldn't be back on until today! Let me start out by giving you girls the news...

IT'S GOING TO BE A GIRL!!!! I'm so excited! DD and I were in tears! We were ready to go shopping! Due date is Sept. 30th and the name that they've picked out is Avayah Rilee. Now I don't know where this younger generation gets these names...DD said she made up the first name and here's how you pronounce it A VA YAH and the second name is after my Mom's middle name of Lee it will be Rilee! I can't hardly remember the first name and told DD I was going to call her Rilee! Thre doctor says everything is going very well! Hey Vicki..wouldn't it be great if we were Grandmas together..it'll be close anyway! Do you all know the This is spam. Please don't click. of the baby yet? I told DD I was going to buy her her first baby doll. We've already told DH that he better start looking for a second job...he told DD yes he better, because I about killed him buying for the boys! He's a good hearted man and I love him! Well after all the excitment of the baby, we brought DSIL back to my house and he did the painting on the privacy fence for me and filled the boys pool up and DD and I went to get our nails done...We were in that shop for almost 2 hrs.I think they need to hire somemore help! Then we brought lunch back to the house and ate , then out to pick up the boys at thier other grandmas house. When we got back , the boys played and Cody helped his dad finish up the paintingand then when DH got home from work we went out for dinner! DH and I rode the motoercyle to dinner and took a little ride afterwards which was nice! All in all it was a fantasic day. I wish Mom was alive to see her new grandchild...she always said the baby was a girl!

***VICKI, For dinner I'm fixing Bar-B-Q Chicken on the grill and probably through some frozen fries in the oven and cole slaw! If I get energetic , I'll fix some kind of dessert! I was just telling DH the other day that I needed to start to make out my weekly menus again....!! If I don't have an idea of what to fix for the day, I get lazy and say let's just go out or order in and usually it's for DD and her family too...so that can get pretty expensive...like last nite it was about 65 dollars for all of us! If I have a menu I fix it and and don't worry about it. Maybe we should do like they do over on TOH...tell each other what's on our menu for the day! Sometimes if someone says what they are having ..it'll give someone else an idea!

***SHERYLE, I was reading your post from yesterday...you vent all you want! Let me tell you something though...you are a better person than me , because I would NOT tolerate a DRAMA QUEEN for too long! First of all Yes on the Nerve Pills ...they help a lot! Secondly, here's what I would do about the drama queen...1) I would report her to the supervisor about excessive personal use of the phone and personal use of the computer. In a lot of companies..i.e. my DH job if your caught using the the computer for personal use...you are fired! 2) When she starts her crying on your shoulder, get up and walk away. 3) Tell her to shut the HELL up, your NOT interested in her Life problems!!! I just can not tolerate a person like that and especially if she doesn't do her job on top of it! You mentioned about your Mom's grandchildren not being close to her, that IS SAD! My DD was and still is very close to my Mom! Of course Mom watched her while I worked when she was little! Here a sweet little story...My Mom was a big Angel collector and she also had alot of Angel pins, so the day of Moms funeral, my Dad told all of us to pick out an Angel pin that we wanted, so we did. Yesterday, Tiffany had on Moms Angel pin and when the Nurse came out to get DSIL and myself to see the ultra-sound...she held it in her hand and said ....Grandma, we are getting ready to find out the This is spam. Please don't click. of the baby and if you could please put a good word in to God and let him Bless us with a Girl..I would be forever grateful! I love You! How cool is that?

***KENA LOU, I need to go to the grocery store also, but I think I'm going to work on a 2-week menu first. I have a load of laundry that I should and probably will do also. Plus DD and I are going to have a garage sale here in a few weeks, so I need to do some clearing out. You mentioned your youngest daughter has a POP show tonite..what is that? Pizza sounds good for dinner too.

Well girls..sorry for being so long winded...I have a bad habit of doing that sometimes! Hello to everyone that stops in after me.I hope everyone has a beautiful day! Take care and don't forget to share a smile with someone! Debbie

Good morning Vicki,Kenna Lou and all who come later.
It's a beautiful day today, just the kind that makes you want to stay outside.I would do that if I had time, but first things first.DH and I just got back from running a few errands and I started my cooking.I'm fixing chicken and rice casserole for dinner. That doesn't take to long so maybe I'll have time to get a few things done outside before time to pick up the girls. We stopped this morning at plant place and I bought two pepper plants.A red bell pepper and a yellow one.I've been trying to fnd a chocolate one ,no luck. Each year if I can I plant different colored pepper plants. They look great cut up in casseroles and salads.Very colorful and festive looking.I'll keep looking. They are to expensive to buy if you use alot.

Vicki,
Figuring out what to cook is one of the hardest things I find there is to do.The chicken and rice casserole I'm cooking for dinner is one of the quickest and easiest recipes that my family likes.Sometimes instead of rice I just add vegetables and a topping and make a chicken pot pie.Like Kenna Lou we sometimes have pizza made with the Chef Boy Ardee pizza kit.Kenna Lou was the one who reminded me about them and they are good.Chicken salad with a side dish of corn is also good. You'll note I cook alot of chicken. That's because everything else has gone up in price so much lately that I use chicken more.
Thats great about your DS and DIL having a baby. How many grandchildren do you have?
My knee is feeling some better today.I guess I'm just getting old. Rolling Eyes

Kenna Lou,
What is a pop show?Whatever it is I hope your DD enjoys it.My DD and I along with the girls are going to a book sale at school this evening. It's a buy one get one free sale.Love those.
Have a wonderful evening.

Debbie,
Great news,I'm so happy for you and your DD and her family. Very Happy
The first thing I bought my first DGD was a tea set, this was before she could even situp.I remember planning on us having a tea party when she got big enough.I even made some cloth napkins and a tablecloth to match.Later we had that party. Very Happy My second DGD got one too.Granddaughters are a joy and I'm sure grandsons are too.I will never get to know that joy since I don't have any grandsons and never will.

Sheryle,
I hope your day today is better than yesterdays.

Got to get going for now will try to get on later.

Everyone have a wonderful day.

Hugs,
Pat

Hi all!

First, congrats Debbie on the baby girl. I know you are so excited! Whoo hooo!

Several of you have asked what pop show is? My daughter is in the choir and at the end of the year they have a choir concert and a lot of the kids in choir try out for solos, etc. It is basically a talent show of choir kids and they call it pop show.

I think the spam problem is the word s*e*x. Y'all are using that word when asking what the baby is and it thinks it is a bad word. LOL!

Ah huh! Smile I see.. Well... we've been hit pretty hard the past two days with spammers. We're blocking their IPs so we'll have to play it by ear when to take down the s*e*x word. I'm hoping as soon as we bridge the pantry with the main site. Smile

Good Afternoon Friends....OOpps...So sorry for not realizing that using the s > # word was bad! I'll have to use my head a little bit more. At least now I know what it means when I see that spam message ...don't delete message come up in the middle of a sentence!
I was just geting ready to go through some ole stuff and price it for a garage sale and thought I'd check on everyone first. The kids haven't come over yet today and may not. DD said Cody's tounge had little blisters on it and she's called the doctor to see if he needs a different antibiotic...so probably no swimming this week, especially since it's going to get to chilly to swim after tonite. DH called at lunch and said the guys wanted him to go out with them for lunch and I told him to go ahead and go,he said I'd rather eat lunch with you and I told him my tummy hadn't been doing good this morning to go ahead and go...so he told me he would, but not to worry about cooking tonite...he'd take me out. So since I have to go out to the grocery store and tonite is Am. Idol nite and I need to be home by 8...I think I'll take him up on his offer...the Bar-B-Q Chicken will wait until tomorrow!
Well I had better get busy...have a good afternoon! Hugs to all...Debbie
