Good morning everyone. It’s a beautiful sunny morning, but quite chilly…I awoke to 40 degree temperatures and the first thing I did was turn up the furnace. I’ve been at work since 6:45 and thought I would take a little break and post this morning. I’m sitting here with a cup of coffee trying to wake up and warm up. Last night I was in the middle of a long post and accidentally deleted everything…was so disgusted with myself, that I just decided not to try again.

My day yesterday was pretty good…not near as much drama going on at work as usual, but it seems to be starting already this morning. I’m thinking about calling my sister to see if she would like to go decorate graves after I get off work. That way, if I don’t feel like it next week, I won’t have to and I know that after having surgery on Monday, she won’t be able to go next weekend. If not tonight, maybe I’ll do it tomorrow. It’s supposed to be beautiful weather this weekend, even though a bit cooler than normal. That’s ok with me, better than hot and humid any day. I was so happy the other night when I went to Hobby Lobby to get flowers, they had 50% off on all their flowers…was glad to see that, especially after the extra expense of having my car worked on.

It looks like my 15 minutes are up…will try to get back on this evening.

Have a wonderful Friday!

Sheryle

Good Morning, Everyone!
Yesterday, I mentioned cookie baking was on my agenda. Peanut Butter Oatmeal cookies have been made and taste tested. The recipe is posted in Shared Recipes for May.

Also, yesterday afternoon/evening, my parents dropped in for a few minutes. What a pleasant surprise! (They haven't lived in Michigan for a long time, so this has not been possible.)

Sheryle, we have chilly morning temperatures today, too. Many places had frost warnings. I'd rather have cool, dry weather than hot and humid. Too bad we missed seeing your post from last night.

Have a great day and fun weekend,

Vicki

Good morning Sheryle,Vicki and everyone.
Beautiful cool morning, hoping it will be a great a day today as yesterday was. We've gotten very little rain lately so I need to water my plants.I'm going outside in a few minutes to do that. Then go clean the church. Was going to do that yesterday evening but ended up playing with the girls outside.
DD,SoIL and DH have to work 7 days again this week.I want to get everything done so the girls and I can play outside tomorrow.

Sheryle,
glad you had a better day at work yesterday.
Don't you just love it when you can get your flowers for half price?Hobby Lobby has some really beautiful flowers.
I hope everything goes well with your sisters surgery Monday.I'll be remembering her in my prayers.

Vicki,
My DH will love those cookies. He likes anything with peanut butter in it.I'm going to copy the recipe later and try them over the weekend.

Better get to work now.

Everyone have a great day,
Hugs,
Pat

GOOD MORNING SHERYLE, VICKI, PAT and ALL other FRIENDS that stop in today.....WOO HOO it's FRIDAY!! I'mso glad, this has been a busy week for me and I'm looking forward to the week-end. I do however have a Bidal Shower to go to tomorrow. O don't really want to go for several reasons....1) It's DH's cousins fiancee and we never see the cousin, let alone ever have meant this girl and 2) it's a personal shower, how do you buy something for someone you don't know? Although the invitation had a few suggstions, so I just bought her a really pretty picture frame that said "Our Wedding Day" on it. and last but not least3) DD can't go, other commintments and DSIOL can't go because she's sick and DMIL is one of the one that's hosting it and I won't know hardly anyone there. Oh my, I think I feel the flu coming on....Not really, I have to go or DH's Mom would probably be upset with me. She doesn't even want to go!! How funny is that?
Boy it is really chilly here...I woke up in the middle of the nite and turned the furnace back on. Fro the air-conditioning to the furnace....this is really crazy weather...no wonder people are getting sick! Speaking of weather, did anyone watch that movie on TV called"Day After Tomorrow" ? I had the Tv turned on and watched it in spurts, but I was trying to re-do my "Myspace" and didn't give the movie my full attention. I wish I hadcause it looked like a good movie.
When I get off this computer, I'm headed for the kitchen to make some Spaghetti Sauce and Meatballs and a Tossed Salad. That's what is on my menu for dinner tonite....what is everyone else having? If I have time I will probably make a Pineapple Upside-Down Cake or a Boston Cream Pie for dessert. I need to clean the house too as DH's Dad will probably come over here and hang out during the shower tomorrow since it's not too far from here and he has to drive DH's Mom over and drop her off. DD was going to Marietta today and I don't know if she wants me to go with her and if she asks I'll probably go. So it seems like my day is getting busier than I thought. I better get busy huh??

***Hi SHERYLE, How are you today? What a bummer you lost your post last nite. That has happened to me to and of course the way I have diarrhea of the pen most of the time...re-writing is NOT an option! So glad your day yesterday was good at work, with NO DRAMA and all. I guess you'll have to tell her to shut the H*** up today! Glad you got your flowers for your Mom's grave. I don't think I'm going to get a different kind for Mom's, as I just put some beautiful silk ones on her gave for Mother's Day! I'll be prayng for your sister next week, that her surgery goes well and she has a quick recovery. Have you have a restful and peaceful week-end!

***Hi VICKI, How are you today?Oh my goodness those Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies sound really good...I need to copy that recipe down. I wonder if you could make 1/2 a recipe ? DH and I would be the only ones eating them...DSIL can't eat anything with Nut products in it and DD doesn't like Oatmeal...Hey I could share them with my Dad, he could snack on them with his coffee. What a nice surprise that your parents stopped in. Do they live far from you? Listen you have a good week-end too...do something Fun!

***Hi PAT, How are you today? Oh my, back on that 7 day week schedule!!Does that wear you out, not geting a break from the grandchildren or do you have your routine down pat that it's just second nature to you? When DD and Cody lived with us before she got married...watching him while she worked didn't seem like watching him, they both were just part of the family household. Matter of fact your DH DD and DSIL will probably be more tired than you! Hope you get your chores done, so you can play outside with the girls...hope it warms up for them! Have arestful week-end!

Well I've rattled on way too much...sorry! I guess I had better get to the kitchen. I'll check back in this afternoon! Have a great day and don't forget to share those beautiful smiles with a stranger! Take care and Love to all.....Debbie

Hi again,
I just got back from my cleaning job.Didn't get it all done ,I'll go back when the girls get home an finish it.
I thought I'd come on and check to see if anyone had been on.

Debbie,The name your DD picked for the baby is lovely.I like different names. There are so many people around with the same name. One of my sister-in-laws has the same name as I do.
We have our routine down so their working doesn't bother me.Except when I want to go some where without the girls. They are so use to me that when I do go any where they usually want to go with me.Love my girls.I'd be lost without them. They keep me going. Laughing That's what I always wanted to be , a wife, mother and grandmother. The Lord has been so good to me .He has blessed me greatly.I'm so glad we all live together and get along so good.
Enough about me.

hope everyones day is going great.
I think about all of you alot.I almost feel that I know each one of you.I've told my friends here all about the wonderful ladies I've made friends with on the internet.

Got a load of wash to put in the dryer so I'll stop for now.

Hugs,
Pat

I have just got to pop in here for a minute. Apparently there is a contest for a comercial for Mr. Clean's Magic Eraser. One of the guys I work with and some friends made one. Andy is the tall guy who the magician is trying to make disapper. I thought it was cute...told him that I wish we could do that once in a while. Laughing I would like to use it on my boss and the drama queen.

That was cute Sheryle. Hello to all my BakeSpace friends. I got all my chores except cooking dinner done, so that I can play with Madison when she gets here.
*Sheryle, I hope you have good weather to decorate the graves today and that you are able to go with your sister. It has been dreary and drizzling here all day. I just hate when a post gets accidentally erased.
*Vicki, do your parents live nearer to you now? I love being able to visit relatives on the spur of the moment, we used to live far away and only got to see relatives like once a year. Those cookies sounded good that you made.
*Pat, when I checked my plants, even the hanging baskets are still plenty moist, so I was saved from a chore today. You family are sure hard workers, you included! Pat, what better job could there be than wife, mother, grandmother?? I love it also.
*Debbie, I love hearing about your day and your grandkids etc. don't ever think you are rattling on! Your meal sounds good. We just finished up some leftover spaghetti yesterday. Today I am making turkey burgers that I jazzed up with some spices etc. not sure what I will make with it yet. I better decide soon! I hope you are able to enjoy your bridal shower. Maybe you will make a new friend. I think your picture frame was a great idea. I am sure she will love it.
*Babette, there sure has been a lot of spam lately. You would think they could find something better to do! Thanks for trying to shield us from the whackos.
Patti
