We're going to Ohio to see my family. I live in Maryland and I miss them a lot! I've been here for about 18 yrs (I left after high school). It'll be a nice relaxing time. All of our kids will play together and we'll just hang out at the pool and parks and such. Any vacation plans for you this summer? |

Not many. We're going to Newport, RI with good friends of ours for a three day weekend on July 27th. The only thing that will stop us is if Carter's team makes the championship game and it's pushed to that weekend if there are rainouts. The same would be if their daughter's softball team makes the championship game. It hinges on that because we are staying at his father's house. Even though we could go up without them, we wouldn't.
Then we're doing a 4 day weekend on August 2nd up to Niagara Falls, NY, where my father is from and there's still lots of family up there. My folks are driving up from GA at the same time and there will be a big BBQ at my cousin's on the 4th.

That sounds great. What kind of championship? Baseball? My husband and I went to Niagra last September for the first time. Well, actually, we were going to Buffalo, New York. My hubby won an all expenses trip to the National Buffalo Wing festival. It was a BLAST!! There were such crazy people there. It was just the two of us but it was really fun and kid friendly so we've promised the kids next time they can go. We went to the Canadian side of the falls and went to the Butterfly Garden which was amazing. We've got some awesome pics from it.
Gosh, have a great time. My 3 yr old keeps asking, "When are we going to The Hio???" It's hard to wait when you're little. |

Baseball. Niagara is great. We've had the kids to the butterfly garden as well, amazing! I still remember when we went up there as kids, before buffalo wings became popular all over the country that i thought it was the neatest thing that they were all eating them. they were smaller back then though and often came in containers that are like the french fry ones now. the sauce wasn't as liberally used either.
