M&M isn't really allowed outside without a leash & collar. We do have a collar and leash if Jim and I are sitting outside so she can go out and sit on the deck with us. We usually don't let her venture into the grass, she got REALLY sick a couple of years ago from eating grass, had some sort of parasite. Took her a long time to get over it.

We are really picky about everything about her now since she is 17, going on 18 (next July)...don't think her old body could handle a lot of parasites or sicknesses.

I love hearing people talk about their pets...it's amazing how many people are really in tune with their animals.

yes, paddington does the "leave me alone you stupid f*&%*** human" look quite frequently.

he is also an ankle biter, another one of his predictable tricks when he gets hungry.

birdy does something really funny lately, i have to walk by the chair she sits on when i go to the bathroom, when i come out she has changed position (every time i swear!!) so that she is laying on her back with all her belly exposed and her legs in the air. it is TOOOOO funny lol!!!! like rub me pleeeeeeease!!!! pay the tolll....lol

That's really funny about changing positions when you go to the bathroom.. my cats follow me in... I swear, they are like children (but worse).

Shadow had to be locked out of the bathroom or she would join me in the shower...and she hated the soap... used to steal it and hide it under the bed.... finally switched to bottled stuff...

Julib, I'm glad to know I'm not the only one getting a 6AM wake up call for breakfast. My big boy, Rory, is the only one that demands to be fed, the other 2 are very sweet about food time. Not Rory, he'll knock things over, throw a tantrum, bite, climb walls, you name it. And all 3 follow me into the bathroom, together. What is it about cats and bathrooms? If I take a bath, Rory will jump in the tub with me and lay on my stomach, just out of the water with his tail draping in. He falls right to sleep. I can't tell you how many times my husband has found us both asleep in the bath tub. The little one perches on the edge, the Siamese wouldn't be caught dead near water.

Cute stories! Pets are people too...just in fur!!

If you go a way, does your cat meet you at the door?? M&M meets me or Jim at the door if we have gone away...whether it be for an hour or a few days.

I don't get it when people say, "dumb animals"...they aren't dumb. My cat is smarter than some people I know.

Great picture, I really and truly believe they know the sound of their owners car, their particular walk etc. I know our cat always knew when it was one of the family coming home and not a visitor. Our dog was the same way. He would get excited when we were still way down the road.

pattit - I had a German Shepherd/Lab mix when I was growing up...so VERY protective. When I would come home from school she would be sitting in the yard under tree waiting for me. Poor old Pup...had to put her down - - that is one of the hardest things about being a pet owner.
