Good Morning all
Yesterday my Dh and I ran a beautiful Dinner Dance for our lodge. It was held like a wedding in a catering hall with a room for the cocktail hour, with so much wonderful food, I never did eat my real dinner. Then we moved into the main room for the dinner and dancing. It just was renovated and it was beautiful, will try to send pics. Being our anniversary and his birthday yesterday we celebrated the day like our wedding. My girls came about 4 to surprise their dad with a birthday cake. The DJ made a big deal, we know him, had them make a grand entrance with the lighted cake. We danced and had loads of fun. But this morning I am so tired. Back to school and work. Dh got me a beautiful tanzanite and diamond ring to celebrate 35 years together.
Well I guess the rest of the week will be boring as I go back to meetings and cooking and cleaning.
Please have a wonderful day and enjoy this great weather we are having

Good Morning Linda and all other friends who stop in later.

Linda--Sounds like you had a really good time on Saturday with the dinner/dance. I bet that ring is just beautiful!!! Did your DH pick it out on his own?? I don't know if mine would go out on his own and pick something like that out. Congratulations on 35 years, we just hit the 8 yr mark in May. Happy Birthday to your husband.

Yesterday was a busy day. Laundry, cleaning, trying to make meals up for the week. Went to visit my parents. The boys and I had a picnic outside for lunch yesterday. What gorgeous weather we are having. Today it's supposed to get into the High 80's.

Hope everyone has a great day!!

Jennifer

Morning Linda, Jennifer and Everybody -

Linda - Wow, sounds like a beautiful ring! Does sound like you had a very busy Saturday. Congrats on 35 years.

Jennifer - that is so fun to have a picnic...and with the kids. Smile

I am feeling MUCH better today, so will be cleaning house today like a tornado! Still feel a little sinus pressure but not as much as the past few days.

We are to have beautiful weather for the next couple of days, in the 80's. I'll take it! Had the house closed up yesterday since the wind off the lake was a little chilly...and with me just getting over whatever I had and I heard M&M sneeze and sniffle a couple of times, I went around and closed the windows.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Good Morning one and all.

I went to bed early last night as I was sooooo tired. Why does a bladder decide to work at night when It doesn't do much during the day when you are up and moving? I thought the body was geared to slow down when sleeping. As a result of this active bladder I likely will need to crash early tonight again and go through the same darned kind of night.

Somone on the TOH BB mentioned how they cook acorn squash in the microwave and fill the cavity with brown sugar, butter and a sprinkle of salt and pepper. I've been cooking it that way for years and years. My hubby who never wants to try anything new got convinced by me that cooked this way it is like eating dessert with your meal instead of after. I watched him eat his half of an acorn squash last night. It was gone long before his pork chop and other stuff. But at least he is eating veggies.

Tonight I am making gnocchi and having chicken parmesan to go with it. Nothing beats home made spaghetti sauce on gnocchi.

Hope we all have a good day.

Marlene

Good afternoon bakespace buddies!

Let me start by saying...Linda, what a beautiful family you have! Your girls are gorgeous and you aint so bad yourself girl! Sounds like you had a wonderful evening...sounded like a Cinderella Ball or something Smile

Marlene- I know what you mean about the bladder thing...I have the same problem. Sometimes I feel like a toddler, making sure I don't drink anything before bedtime and I still find myself up 2-3 times! YIKES!

Jennifer- our weather is warm here too! I spent all day outside yesterday, gazing at my clear but cold pool, HA! I told Jim to just go ahead and close it up this week, I'm tired of vaccumming it and it being too cold to swim in!

Ann Marie- glad to hear you are feeling better, hope you continue to do so! I'm going over to place my 3rd vote as soon as I'm done here. I took some pics this weekend myself. Posted them in other threads, here are the links....

I have some more to post too but I'll have to get them uploaded. Hope everyone is having a great day, I'll stop in later to see who all stopped by! TTYL

Linda - really nice pictures. Thank you for sharing them.

ddpie - that turkey looked really tasty, almost leaned up and licked my screen! Surprised Thank you for sharing those pictures, too...did you get your frog named yet?? Could you please email me? It's about the Moonflower...it is getting pods and I am hoping that there are seeds in there.
