Good Morning all...Breakfast today is coffee, tea, OJ, Bagels and cream cheese....

Didn't feel like cooking this AM... My computer informed me that there are 90 days left till Christmas...and I haven't made the cookies for halloween yet... let alone thinking about Thanksgiving.

Where has the year gone...

Hope you all have a great day... will check in later to make sure you are all being good ( my mom always told me to be good, so I always am...no matter what I get into, I do it good...) Laughing Laughing Laughing

It's gonna be one of those days...

Pat

Good Morning, Pat and all to follow!

Bagels and cream cheese --- yummy! Thanks for the breakfast. Smile

This morning, I will make a quick check to make certain everything is babyproofed. Can't wait until my daughter and grandchildren arrive. If it is not too damp outside, we'll play in the backyard, too. We don't have enough leaves for them to jump in the piles, yet.

Pat, feel free to stop in and see if we're good. Sounds like you are making this a fun day.

Hugs,
Vicki

Good morning Everybody,

With Jim home for the past few days...wasn't on the computer much. I did show him the pictures in the photo contest, he was so tickled. Smile Then he messed around with our new camcorder, wanted to figure out how to get it to play on TV. He finally hooked all the cables to the back of the VCR and it worked perfectly. Had to chuckle at him...he says, "I WAS going to figure it out." He wanted to see the movies we made in WV so badly...he even had me try to copy them from the smaller DVD to a big CD, and it didn't work. Have to go from DVD to DVD. Well, at least we learned some thing. Smile The Falls, the bridge...everything came out wonderfully, was like we were there!

PAT - Bagels with cream cheese sound good. I just had some tea and toast with peanut butter.

VICKI - hope it is nice outside so you can play with the Grandkids in the yard. We had storms here in NW PA last night, things look pretty wet out right now.

Taking M&M to the vet around 11:45 to get her nails trimmed. I use to do it, but with her age her nails have become so thick I can't do them. And it's funny...when I did do them, she would howl and meow like I was killing her - - but, when the vet does it she is as meek and mild, never a peep. : Confused Goofy old kitty. Smile

Going to call Mom shortly, want to see if she got her "goodie" box I sent her the other day. She collects glass & ceramic shoes, Jim and I found a couple down in WV. And with this sinus cold, I wasn't sure when I would be able to go down...so I sent them to her.

Hope everyone has a GREAT day!!

Take care,
Ann Marie PA

P.S.

Please don't forget to vote! MANY, MANY thanks!!!!!!

I have 3 photos: bumblebee on Dahlia, Blackwater Falls, WV & Lake Erie Sunset.

Ann-Marie - is there a second place prize? That dog picture is way in the lead. However, I have been adding to the sunset photo just in case there is a lesser prize than first place.

Slow start this morning. My hubby took off this morning and has not been back. As my back is gone to lunch without me, and he wasn't home to carry the laundry basket downstairs where my machines are located, I had to do it myself. The back is aching right now. But the wash is started. Rather than up and down the stairs further aggravating the back I am staying down the basement and will do my class reading down here waiting for the loads to finish.

Sure is getting cool here in the mornings. The maple trees are getting red, the birch/aspen trees are all yellow, the tamarack trees are bronzing and then the pine trees are such a nice dark green mixed in.

Wish I knew how to post pictures as there are some very colourful pictures I have downloaded to my photo collection.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Marlene

Marlene - are you talking about posting here in the forum? If so, upload them to either bakespace (the main site) or something like flickr.com. Once you upload them... you can copy the html flickr gives you for bulletin boards (that's what this is) and all you have to do is paste it here. If you're pasting from bakespace... you'll right click on a photo, copy the URL of the photo and them paste the URL here... then highlight the URL and click on the [img] button at the top of your post... that will tell the site it's a picture. what doesn't work is if you have a space between the [img] and the URL or if the [img] is on a separate line... make sure the . That's it!

To everyone - we're seeking Halloween Recipes.. please post them in our main recipe database.. Smile

Also, our promotion with Sara Lee ends tomorrow.. check out the video that's in your kitchen and show your support for our grassroots site! Smile

Hi everyone! Haven’t been here since Friday. On Saturday I went up to RI, stayed overnight, then left for Foxboro Mass the next morning for the Patriots game. They KICKED BUTT, YAY!!!

I’ll post some of the tailgating pictures later but we bbq’d in Lot 13 from about 9am to 12PM, game was at 1pm then we bbq’d again from about 4:30pm to 7pm and then we were back to Jersey. We made skirt steak, ribeyes, filets, steamed lobster, shrimp, chilled stone crab, chorizo sausage, Italian sausage, chicken, etc, etc. My stomach actually wasn’t quite right so I didn’t eat much believe it or not. I seemed to have no problem with the beer, wine and sangria, go figure. I got back late Sunday evening and my days at work yesterday and today were WAY busier than normal.

FYI, I may have scored an interview for a Facilities Manager position within my firm, back in the city. I’ll keep you all posted.

Oh..and, GO SOX!

Vicki, Sounds like you will have a fun day too…

Ann Marie, M&M knows who can be fooled into guilt…
Hope your sinuses clear soon. I’m still voting on the pics.

Marlene, you make me miss the change of seasons…but I will be going north in a few weeks…I’ll get to see some of the colors… Take care with your back.

Eric, Good luck with the interview.

Pat – it’s just a POTENTIAL interview opportunity at this time. Keep your fingers crossed that it turns into an ACTUAL one! Thanks for your well wishes!

first prize - compact digital photo printer valued at $250.
second prize - digital photo frame valued at $100.
third - digital memory card valued at $50.
Grand Prize is a $500 digital camera package. But from what I understood, the people that place 1st, 2nd, or 3rd can't win the Grand Prize. That's ok, I would be happy with the digital memory card, those little cards come in handy when you take a TON of pictures.

queenie: wish you and I lived closer, would gladly come over while Jim is snoozing to help you with your laundry basket. Which reminds me, I still have laundry to sort down in the basement too.

Eric: sounds like you had an awesome time before the game, during the game, and after the game. Smile Kind of stinks you weren't able to eat all the yummy food. Sorry to hear about your stomach. Hope your interview goes well!

Qui: yes, she does! All she has to do is look at Jim and he melts like butter. He carried her to the car, had to tell him M&M wasn't broke that he could open the car door. His eyes got real big, "don't want her jump," he says. And he is holding on to her harness/leash with a death grip the whole time. Cute. Smile Wonder how he thinks I take her to the vet & back when it is just me?!
