Maybe someone can help me??? I saw a cheese ball shaped into a snowman & I didn't save it, dang it!! It was so cute, I thought it would look nice on the table when we go to my brother's at Christmas!

Good morning,

Tango - I see we are the 2 early birds this morning. I've wanted to get contacts for years but I guess I am chicken. So many people that I know that have had them have trouble with them. Who knows, when I go to the eye doctor I just might ask him. Smile

Welcome Akmoni! My youngest nephew is stationed at the Air Force base in Alaska, close to you (I think). He really likes it up there. My middle nephew was there for a job through the summer, he said the scenery was awesome but he wouldn't want to live there. My sister has made a trip up there several times to see her son, she comes back with gorgeous pictures.

Marlene - you might surprise yourself on this exam.

grammadot - what a cute cake! It just isn't the holidays if we don't watch the Peanuts specials. Smile

Patti - wow, you have been a busy bee! The leaves were really piled because we had wind for a few days, at times very gusty. Sad As I got further down the yard I could use our little mower and kind of put it into the middle to make it easier to rake.

Babette - Happy Anniversary!!!!!

Well, DWTS was interesting. Was surprised to see Marie still in it. My heart was pounding when it came down to Helio and Jennie...when they said Jennie was leaving, I clapped...really want to see Helio make it at least to 2nd place - - or WIN!!! Like he said, a race car driver to a ballroom dancer. Mel & Marie have had "some" dancing in their lives because they are singer/entertainers. Plus he is just adorable. Wink Just love his smile.

Enjoyed Michael Flatley (spelling?) and his dancers. They will be in the Macy's Parade?? Might have to set the DVR for that. Smile

Can't believe how warm it is this early, it's 60!! Watching the weather channel they say we will be getting rain/thunderstorms. Hoping it DOESN'T snow tomorrow.

Mom called me last night, wanted to know what Jim's schedule was and if he wasn't going to be home, she wanted me to come down today and just stay til Friday or Saturday. I have a feeling she doesn't want to drive in the snow that they are forecasting for tomorrow. Sad If it comes down to it, I'll just leave here early, run down to pick her up, go to my sister's, run Mom back home and stay until Friday. Jim isn't a 100% about his schedule yet. Sad Sad Can't make plans that way.

Have no idea what I am doing today. I do need to run to Walmart to get some black ink for my printer...and make my pumpkin dessert for tomorrow, other than that, I don't know.

Today
Mostly cloudy. Showers developing this afternoon along with a chance of thunderstorms this afternoon. Highs in the lower 60s. Temperature falling into the 50s this afternoon. Southwest winds 10 to 15 mph...becoming west this afternoon. Chance of rain near 100 percent.

Tonight
Rain. Breezy with lows in the upper 30s. Northeast winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. Chance of rain near 100 percent.

Thanksgiving Day
Rain changing to snow in the morning...then snow showers likely in the afternoon. Snow accumulation around an inch. Windy and much cooler with highs in the upper 30s. North winds 20 to 30 mph. Chance of precipitation near 100 percent.

Later,
Ann

Good Morning Everyone!!

I'm sure alot of busy bakers/cookers are or will be starting their Thanksgiving meals today. I'll be running out of the office today and getting the pumpkin pies going. I'll probably be doing another appetizer besides the Sticky wings but haven't really thought too hard about it..yet. I have both phyllo dough and puff pastry in my freezer that I'd love to use, does anyone have a appetizer recipe using either???

We are supposed to get between 2-4 inches of snow by 6 AM tomorrow. Temps today are supposed to stay in the mid 40's and then drop tonight.
Hoping my shopping plans for Friday don't get interrupted by snow.

Tango--When I got my contacts this last time, they gave me a different brand than what I'd had and I had to go back to the Dr. and have them changed because they bugged me too. It's like they didn't fit my eye. Glad you were able to find the cheeseball recipe!!

Ann Marie--I sure hope your husband is able to be home with you for Thanksgiving. Sounds like you just might be driving your Mom tomorrow if you get the snow that's predicted.

Welcome Akmoni to our little group of cookers/cakers!!!

Well I'll be off and on here today. I've pretty much decided that today is a good blow off day...I'm here physically but not mentally!!! Laughing

I'll check back later. Hope everyone has a great day!!

Jennifer

Good Morning, Everyone!

My husband and son just left for the dental surgeon. Pudding, yogurt, etc... are on hand. We are thankful that the snow advisory does not start until later tonight. Today, my daughter and grandchildren will stop in for lunch, and a trip to Costco. If you are a Costco member, don't forget the cookbook they'll hand out on Friday. We'll be celebrating Thanksgiving Friday evening with family and friends. I'll be bring individual bags of Blessing Mix and dessert. The tags are already printed.

Tango -
Thanks for the coffee. Wow! You are off and running.

Ann Marie -
I've had contacts for over 30 years, and can actually see better with them. Let us know if you decide to give it a try.

Jennifer -
Do you have all your leaves raked/blown? I can't believe how many trees are still full of leaves, especially with sleet and several inches of snow forecasted.

Eric -
Hope you are feeling better, and you have a fantastic first week on your new job (always a time of adjustment). Eric, I have no idea where I located the graphic... mostly like sent by a graphics group.

Moni -
Welcome, Moni! What are you doing for Thanksgiving?

Joy -
Did you get the pumpkin roll made?

Debbie -
I have made the Gooey Butter Cake, too. (Just can't recall which varieties.) They were all well liked.

Toni -
Great to see you back here! You are correct about the laundry. I've started with my son's laundry this morning.

Marlene -
How did the test go?

DD -
Thanks for the review of the Angel Biscuits. I'll have to check out that recipe. Hope you've heard a good report about Jim's dad.

Patti (grammadotcom) -
Wishing you safe travel for you Friday, Thanksgiving celebration. Wow! I just saw the picture of your cake.

Patti (PattiT) -
You seem to be flying through your days, too. Whew!

Greetings to all I have missed. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day and weekend.

Vicki

Vicki--My husband is the raker in our household. He's done as far as what leaves have fallen, but like you said there's alot of trees that are still loaded with leaves. With the snow in the forecast don't know if he'll have another chance to rake.

Have a good time with your daughter and grandchildren today. Hoping you came up with some tasty treats for your son after surgery. Is he having his wisdom teeth out??

Jennifer

Yes, Eric is getting his wisdom teeth out this morning. So, he'll be crashing when he gets home, and possibly tomorrow. Fortunately, he likes applesauce, yogurt, pudding, soups, etc...

Regarding the leaves, we have most of our leaves raked. However, there are trees in neighboring yards that keep heading our direction. We also have to help with my mother-in-law's yard which is very wooded.

Tango -
Are you serving dessert and/or pumpkin bread with the morning coffee?

Vicki
