This recipe is out of the Tom's Big Dinners cookbook by Tom Douglas...he owns several restaurants out in Seattle.
3 peaches (1 to 1.5 lbs), peeled, pitted, and sliced
1 lime, sliced
1/4 cup sugar
1 bottle Sauvignon Blanc
Put the peaches, lime, and sugar in a large pitcher adn pur in the wine. Stir gently with a long spoon to help dissolve the sugar. Cover the pitcher with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 2 hours. Remove the pitcher from the refrigerator, uncover, and stir again. Then pour through a fine mesh strainer or a cheescloth-lined strainer into a large bowl or pitcher.

Jules and Babs glad you liked the recipe. I will be making this sometime during Mother's Day weekend. _________________ http://bakespace.com/?Lids |

Thanks Lids! sounds yummy and perfect for summer. Jim's Sevyal Blanc is really similar to most Sauvignon Blancs too.
I thought it was gonna be all complicated, make a simple syrup, infuse spices, crush 10 different fruits, yadda yadda yadda. But this is so simple! Now all I have to do is wait for those peaches to get here...... |

Hahaha, yeah, me too! I was thinking how great this would be when I'm the "drunk girl" trying to mix up that 4th or 5th pitcher for a pool party Way easier than margaritas in a blender LMAO |

DD I agree with Jules stay away from the blender. Anything easy to mix up that involves no tools is what I make bc of the whole drunk girl factor. _________________ http://bakespace.com/?Lids |
