Good morning everyone! I'm getting ready for work and just wanted to check in. Even though this is supposed to be our Verterans Day holiday, we have to have a minimal staff and I volunteered to work - sounded like a good idea at the time. Now I wish I hadn't because it's supposed to be a beautiful day - in the 70's! Oh well, at least it should be rather pleasant at work, the three talkers and complainers I work with are taking today off so it should be nice and quiet. I do get overtime for working today so that helps, plus one of my other coworkers and I have planned to go to LaRosas for lunch - yummy!
Have to go dry my hair. I hope you all have a great day!

Good Morning Sheryl, Linda and ALL my TOH Friends that stop in..... Oh my what a BEAUTIFUL day it's going to be in my little corner of the world!! It's going to be 75* today. That's unheard of for mid November! Of course it's our LAST nice day..tomorrow 100% rain, then Sunday high 45*. So hopefully if you all are having these warm temps., we better enjoy the day. I just put a pork roast in the crock pot for dinner tonite. I'll probably make scolloped potatoes and corn to go with it. I've got some apples that need something done with them,so I'll probably make an apple walnut cake or something.
Sheryl are you feeling better today? You sound like me when I worked, the girls and I lived for planning LUNCH! At least it was something to look forward to.
Linda what do you have planned for today? Make it fun ,whatever it is.
To EVERYONE that stops in ...I hope you all have a good day planned.
I better get busy...if I don't watch myself, I'll be sitting at this computer til 11:00 !! LOL Y'all take care...Debbie _________________ Debbie

Debbie,
Your dinner sure sounds delicious!
I didn't realize how it sounded, thinking about lunch when I hadn't even had breakfast yet. Planning lunch is what gets us through the day, sad but true.
I am feeling much better, thanks for asking. I haven't started my new med yet - went to CVS and was told they would have to order it and should have it today. Good thing it wasn't a matter of life or death! LOL!
Even though I would rather be off today, enjoying one of our last Indian Summer days, it has been nice at work. There are only a few of us here and it's been wonderful!!!!
Well guess my break is over!

Well I am home from school today, got up a little late, the cold is being passed about in the house and now I think I am getting it. I can't be sick I have a meeting every night next week, have school and then having all the testing for my surgery.
I read someone is going to LaRosa's for lunch, that was may maiden name but with 2 ss
Here LaRosa's is a deli, what kind of restaurant is it by you?
I am cooking all morning as soon as I can break away from the computer for my brother's hunting trip. Going to make the guys lemon chicken and baked ziti. I freeze it and when they come back from sitting in the woods all day they just pop in the oven and have a meal. Haven't decided what else I will be cooking.
Tomorrow I am taking 543 girls scouts and families to the movies to see Santa Clause 3. I know I am out of mind. We cannot believe the turnout we got for this movie. It starts at 9:30, they get all the popcorn and soda that they can eat and a girl scout patch for $9.
I get a nervous breakdown from 9:30 till noon till it is over, checking on all these kids making sure no one leaves the 5 theaters, kids are picked up by the right parents etc.
Boy I am getting way too old for this. My girls haven't been in Girl Scouts for about 6 years now.
But I am retiring from the position of president this year in June.
So the work load will ease up.
Well off to cook

Good morning Sheryle, Linda, Debbie, Holly, Linda and whoever comes next. Wishing everyone a beautiful day. Sounds like the east coast weather is as beautiful as the west coast. A nice break in the weather is always welcome, especially at this time of year. Fools me into thinking of Spring for a few minutes .
Sheryle I have to work today too and going to lunch at who know's where, but I am sure looking forward to it LOL. Hope your feeling better.
Linda L, hope you have a wonderful day.
Debbie, dinner does sound yummy, wish I was eating at your house
To me any food I don't have to cook is good, although I really do love to cook If that make's a bit of sense. You menu does sound yummy though.
((((Holly)))) Here is a big Friday hug for you my friend.
Linda W, you are one busy little bee, my goodness. Cooking for the men's camping trip, sounds like I used to do when my first husband, my 3 son's and BIL would go on Boy Scout outings or on fishing trips. Had to be sure my men ate like they were used to at home. I do tend to spoil my men rotten. They're brats...but they're my brats LOL.
I can't imagine watching that many kids even with parents there, LOL.
Sounds like things are moving forward towards the surgery date.
I have to tell you, I love your good morning pucker emoticon...put a great big smile on this old face
Well everyone I wish you a happy care free day to start your weekend.

Linda W - 543 girls, I admire your fortitude! I don't know how you do what you write about - it tires me just thinking about it. LaRosa's is a chain of Italian restaurants that originated in Cincinnati.
Jan - thanks, I am feeling better. Too bad we just can't hop in a car and go to Debbie's for dinner. I like to cook too, but don't enjoy cooking for just myself.

Howdy y'all! How's that for a Texas greeting? LOL. I didn't want to address everyone individually for fear I would forget someone.
Sheryle, is that a Mexican restaurant? Mexican is my favorite
My DD is in a Veteran's Day program at her school here in a little bit, so we'll be going to that.
Nothing much going on here today. Had a few errands this morning. It's in the 80's here y'all. I don't think we are going to get much cool weather here in Texas. I'll send y'all some warmth, if you will send me a little bit of cold. How's that for a deal.
I hope everyone has a great weekend.
Hugs, Kenna Lou |
