Good morning Linda and Holly and all who follow. Hope the weekend is good for everyone. My hubby left for a hunting trip, today I am enjoying my alone time, but I know by tomorrow I will be very lonely. I have all my groceries bought for the Thanksgiving dinner and the next couple of days I will concentrate on trying to clean the house and get it ready. I love hosting Thanksgiving, but it is funny how I spend so long getting ready and cooking and it is all over in such a short time. My granddaughter is excited and told me that "Grammy everyone will say you cook gooooood." She is such a little sweetheart, she is only 2. I will check back later and see what everyone has been up to. Linda, I bet you are as sick of leaves as I am, it just seems like they come from nowhere!? Holly, I loved the polar bears!

Good morning Holly, Linda, Patti, BJ and all to follow.
Just wanted to pop in and say hi real quick this morning and then I must shut this computer off and tell it to quit calling my name LOL
I must make out my shopping list and menu for Thanksgiving today. Have to start to defrost turkey in the fridge tomorrow. Not looking forward to the crowds and long lines at the stores this weekend
Hope everyone has a happy Saturday. Talk you you all later.

Hi; ya'll hope your weekend got off to a good start. Went to a craft show this morning, seen alot of new crafts. Then we went to garage sales on the way home. DH is watching the Buckeye and Michigan game and is going crazy already. We are both from Ohio for anyone who doesn't know. It is chilly here in Sunny Florida it is in the mid 60's today. I know you who up north would really like this weather instead of yours. I really miss the changing seasons. I'm going to get off here to start posting recipes.
HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Hi Everyone
Well got a late start today, then went to look for a chandlier, then the flea market and I was pooped. I did wrap some gifts for christmas and pick up something for a DD at the flea market. Now I am too tired to cook dinner, so since everyone is in and out I am making canned soup and sandwiches.
Tomorrow taking it easy because at 7 pm I am going to something called Evening of Giving. That is where the mall is cleared out and you purchase a ticket ( charity) to get back in and shop. They give great sales for this event. So hope to finish the shopping tomorrow night
Well everyone have a great night, hoping my DD brings home the DVD
Da Vinci Code for something for me to watch tonight

Hi all! Lazy weekend here. I made a wonderful cranberry sauce recipe. So easy and very good.
can whole cranberries, 16 oz frozen strawberries, zest one orange, throw some pecans in and a little pumpkin pie spice. 8 oz can drained pineapple tibits. mix and eat. It is wonderful to put together at the last minute. when you put the strawberries in, make sure they are 1/2 thawed.
Do you all have to sign in each and every time you come to bakespace? Or am I doing something wrong? I have to sign my e-mail and password every time.
Enjoy the evening!

Good afternoon! I guess it's really almost evening - it's 5:40 PM EST. I'm getting on here a bit late today because I knew if I got on this morning, I would never get out of the house as early as I planned. I picked up my sister at around 9:30 this morning and we headed to Sam's Club. I think we were in there almost two hours and we were tired by the time we got back to the car. We picked up a lot of things for her Thanksgiving dinner and I found some of the best cheesecake! I found a Pumpkin Cheesecake in the freezer section, made by the Cheesecake Factory, decided to buy it. I've purchased the plain cheesecake before and liked it so figured this would be good too. As I turned around, I noticed someone was actually handing out samples so my sister and I tried it - oh my goodness was it good! I had planned to make a pumpkin cheesecake to take with me to my sisters but now I don't have too.
After we left Sam's we went over to the mall, I wanted to go to Gloria Jean's to buy some Christmas coffee and four boxes of the assorted cocoa. I always like to buy the cocoa to give to the student assistants, who work in my office, as part of their Christmas gift. Plus my sister and I needed a coffee and rest break after our Sam's trip. We walked into the store and realized it was no longer a Gloria Jean's - you can imagine our disappointment! Gloria Jean's has been there as long as I can remember. So we had to walk through the rest of the mall until we got to Starbucks - we had our coffee break, but I came home without the cocoa that I wanted. Guess I'm going to have to order it online.
Our next stop was the Amish market - thank goodness we didn't have to walk much, we were really getting tired at this point. My sister found a few things that she wanted and purchased a pumpkin roll that she split with me. We went to Burger King for a late lunch (we were not terribly hungry because we had several samples at Sam's, but I was getting a little shakey so needed to eat) and then back to her house. We sat and talked for a while until I got my energy back then I left, went to the grocery and got home and my car unloaded by about 5 PM. Boy am I beat! I probably won't feel like doing a thing tomorrow.
Linda - thanks for sending me the recipe, it looks great!
Anita - who won the game? I'm not a big sports fan, but since I live in Ohio, I hope Ohio won!
Bug - I usually have to sign in.
I need to get away from this computer and get some dinner - it won't be much, I'm heating up a frozen dinner. I hope everyone has a nice evening.
