A quick "Good Morning" before we pick up a couple last minute items at the store. Linda-Ann, congratulations, as our Featured Chef of the Day!
Hope to check in later,

Good Morning HOLLY, LINDA W and VICKI and ALwho stop by today.....Was on the computer until 2:00 am EST again last nite. For some reason I can't sleep. I was awake agai at 6:00, but decided to sleep til 7. DH got in from work around 11:45 last nite. He was dead tired. Never took a lunch break, so he hadn"t eaten anything all day. He said today will probably be a long one too. I guess these longer days come from management letting everyone off to go dear hunting, so DH has to cover 3 states! Stupied is what I came them. They do the same thing at Christmas time. Told DH he's putting in for Christmas vacation at the first of the year! Today is supposed to be warmer....56* and blue skies clear into next week..YEA! Not a lot on my schedule to do today. I need to make my recipe for "PUMPKIN CRUNCH CAKE"....we all just love that cake and i make it every year for Thanksgiving and beyound that. While that is baking , I'll get my sweet potatoes cooking...I'm ging to get them fixed today and bake them in the morning. That's all I'm suppose to make for Thanksgiving dinner. I'll bet everyone is in the kitchen today..just cooking up a storm. MY MOM use to cook for 3 days or more to get everything ready for a holiday dinner. She really misses not feeling like doing it anymore as I do! I told her the other day, that cooking was something that we both LOVE to do and now for one reason or another ,neither one of us can barely do it. This afternoon DD is coming over to get me and we are going to go get her DH a B"DAY present...I don't know what yet, maybe she can give me some ideas.
Well girls ...I have to get busy...still have to do all my early morning chores...you know take my meds, feed the fur-babies, make my bed and take a shower. You girls have a good day and remember to keep I'll probably be back on later today....take care......Debbie _________________ Debbie

It has been awhile since I've posted here and I have missed it. Today I'm home getting ready for Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow and thought I would take the time to check in.
After much debate and recipe searching I decided last night that I would cook my turkey in a paper bag afterall. I know it isn't the safest thing but we have done it for decades and haven't had a problem yet.
My daughter got in at 2:30 this morning from DC. We are having a wonderful visit!!
Happy Turkey Day to everyone!

Good Morning TOH friends! How is everyone today? Busy, I'm sure. I'm making my pies today and also the cornbread for my dressing.
Linda, I love the pic of the turkey in the oven. That is too cute!
I want to take this opportunity to wish all of you and your families a very Happy Thanksgiving! Take this time to count your blessings.
Have a blessed day!
Hugs, Kenna Lou |

| Good morning to Holly, Linda, Vicki, Debbie, Suzanne, Kenna Lou, the other Linda, and all other that find time to check in today. I have the last of my pies cooling, so far I think I am keeping ahead of schedule, as long as I don't get on-line to much today, ha ha. Sounds like everyone is preparing for the big meal tomorrow. I need to call everyone and tell them to bring containers for leftovers. Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and lots to be thankful for, I know I do. |
