You have an African Grey!!!! That is sooo cool!!!

My old boss had two... and the stories he used to tell cracked us all up!!!

Stuff like, the birds were coughing, so he brought them to the vet... turns out, they were mimicking his smoker's cough!!

Or he'd walk into the bathroom and the birds would say, "brrrrr... it's cold in here"... so he'd turn up the heat (his daughter always complained the bathroom was cold)

The phone would ring and the birds would say, "I've got it!!" So, since the birds said they'd get the phone, it would just keep ringing.

They'd mimic the door squeak and get the dogs barking.

His stories were endless!

Spryte we've had Grumpy for over 30 years, and as you can imagine he's really a part of the family. They will pick up repeated sounds quickly. He learned the sound of all our voices and calls us into the room using different voices all the time. I can't tell you how many times he makes me get up to answer a phone that hasn't really rung. He says "Herreee kitty kitty and then he'll meow perfectly, people always say I didn't know you had a cat. We don't but we used to and he remembers that. It's really incredible how many words and sounds he can do. When Pippin our sun conure starts squawking, he'll look right at her and say shut up. Too funny.

I know this is an old post, but just had to comment on your fine feathered friends Razz

Greys & conures are my 2 favourite birds (aside from my own 2 monsters[cockatiels]) and yours are just beautiful!!

I have an African Grey named Scotty. What a pill he is sometimes. My cat was hacking up a hair ball one day (scotty was on the other side of the room, I was between them) and next thing I know, I'm hearing it in stereo!! Thank god only one of them actually DID hack up the thing. Shocked My brother and I were standing next to his cage one day and his cell phone rang. He clicked it and put it next to the cage and Scotty leaned over and Said "hello"...the guy on the phone started talking away!!! LOL

That's hilarious - they're such characters!

The woman who clips our monsters' nails has a grey and he tells their dogs off, it's so funny to listen to him "get out from under my feet" he says if they're near his cage - so cute!

Its almost like they understand what they're saying. I was looking at a squirrel one day and I said (to the squirrel) "you're just a little guy" and Scotty said..."aaaaaaawwww"
