For sweet wines, Ice Wine is definatly one of the sweetest. I normally have it at christmass time at a friends, and we serve it in cordial glasses, so you only get about 1 oz. Any more would be too much, but I have heard of Ice Wine Chocolates from Canada that I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to try!
The next in line would be any Muscat, including Muscato Di Asti, Orange Muscat, etc. With Muscats, it seems to always be a toss up. They tend to be realy thick and syrupy, but some are just perfect!! I have had the Sutter Home and will admit that I like it! If its too sweet or syrupy, you can always add some club soda or seltzer water and make it a wine spritzer, great on a summer day (ok, wrong time of year for that, but it would also be good snugled up in front of a fire place)
One of my favorites it Gewurztraminer, a sweet German wine! Fetzer makes a decent one for $7-$10 depending where you get it. Even my local grocery store carries it, though I always have to search for 20 minuts before realising it was staring me in the face the whole time. It seems to be a chamelian and hides in plain view.....
The only "sweet" RED wine I find drinkable is Port, but Port is a whole nother story........ _________________ http://JofussGallery.etsy.com

My boss emailed a (long) list of wine facts, so heres the first:
Did you know:
During prohibition, an interesting product called the “Grape Brick” was sold to thousands of wine parched households in America. Attached to the “brick” of dried, pressed winegrape concentrate was a packet of yeast and a stern warning “Do NOT add yeast or fermentation will result!” _________________ http://JofussGallery.etsy.com

OK - I have a wine question - and I don't think this was asked yet.
Since I am a red wine novice - I usually don't have "leftovers" at my house. I opened the Malbec last night and had 2 glasses but so much more left in my bottle.
Do I keep it room temperature? Put it in fridge? How long will it last?? _________________

There is different theories to the fridge or not to fridge. If refrigerated, it may last longer, but if left out, it may aerate and become better. Left out at room temp, reds can last from 2 to 4 days, in a fridge, up to a week. (thats just my expierience).
Some only get worse as you leave em out overnight, some get sooo much better. Its always a guesing game and chance if its not a wine you've had before. I will say, once they "turn", they turn fast. I had one that was sooo good after a couple days out, but an hour later I tried it and it was awefull. It had lasted 3 days, so I consider myself lucky. I got the best glass out of it right before it went yucky , and there wasn't much left to waste after it did turn
So, did I answer you question or confuse you more? _________________ http://JofussGallery.etsy.com

LOL...I think I got it. I left it out at room temperature, so I will test it tonight and see. I thought that was better then "room temperature - then chill - then bring back to room temperature".....Thanks Joe!!!! _________________

I will have to try one of these I saw one today at the grocery store and I like one wine that is a blend which includes Gewurztaminer so I think I should like it on its own.... right? That logic makes sense to me but I am a nub when it comes to wine |

I saw your description of that mix, it looks HEAVENLY!!! Going to have to look them up!
I think the Gewurztraminer will be a little less sweet by itself, but it should still be sweet enough for your palate. You'll never know what you like until you try it! _________________ http://JofussGallery.etsy.com
