Woo Hoo! I can't believe I get to be the one to start the post this morning. It is 5:20 am here and I have been up since 3:30. UGH! My tummy wasn't feeling too good and I couldn't sleep, so I just decided to get up. There sure isn't much on TV to watch in the wee hours of the morning!
What does everyone have planned for today? We are probably going to the mall and then tonight we are going out to dinner with some friends from church. We are having an ornament exchange with them.
I hope everyone has a great day!
Hugs, Kenna Lou |

Good morning Kenna Lou and Holly. You two ladies are early birds this morning. I woke at 3:33 this morning and got up at 5:00 like you Kenna Lou, couldn't see lying there when I had found some time to get on here and read posts I missed . Holly that is the cutest little raindeer, but then I love all of your pics/emoticons, they put a smile on my face everyday.
It's going to be a rainy Saturday here and to tell the truth I'm looking forward to staying in and making a big pot of Chili or something like that. Now that I have a new roof I can put on a fire log and finally enjoy the rain again.
Every year I make my grandchildren a Christmas ornament especially handmade from their Nana (they call it their Nana ornament) and tody is the day. I start thinking about it in October and try to get it finished by my oldest granddaughters Birthday. She will be 13 on the 12th of Dec., so I am determined to get them finished over this weekend if I don't do another thing LOL.
Yesterday I was in a super hurry (nothing unusual for me ) and I started a post about my new grandson and apparently I hit the wrong something or other and it didn't post. I also posted over on the TOH BB.
Little Mr. Darrin Michael was born on Wed 12/6 at 9:34 PM. He weighed 9lbs.4oz., 21 inches long and if you saw his little Mama you would say how in the heck did she deliver such a big baby , we still can't believe it. Anyway, he is just beautiful and such a good baby. Since she was due the 30th they induced her on Tue night at 10:30PM. She labored for 23 hours and they finally agreed to a c-section and then the Doctor said they would try to suction him out and would only give it three pulls and then to the OR for a c-section if the suction doesn't work but he came out on the first try, Praise God. I don't know who invented that suction thing but I am so greatful they did. He has a big purple hickey on top of his head that they say will dissapear.
He got his very own Birthday day since his Mommy had her 28th B-Day 2 1/2 hrs after he was born on the 7th. They went home from the hospital yesterday afternoon. I feel so blessed and thankful that he is here now, safe and sound and healthy. I had been worried sick for weeks in case she would have trouble giving birth she's so small.
Well I think you all guessed it, I'm a very proud and thankful Nana.
I wish Kenna Lou, Holly and everyone to follow a blessed and happy weekend.
Proud Nana,
Jan |

GOOD MORNING KENNA, HOLLY, PROUD NANNA JAN and ALL to follow.... I can't believe it's Saturday already! DH is on vacation this coming week, so that means it'll go fast too. I guess when you're not ready for CHRISTMAS...time will go fast.
*****KENNA, You know I find that problem in the wee hours of the morning...nothing on TTV ! I'm usually up almost every morning in the wee hours and most of the time I watch the food network ,but then it goes to info. tv after 3:00, so then it's QVC or try to go back to sleep. Sounds like your going to have a nice time with your friends tonite..the ornament exchange sounds nice. Hope you have fun!
*****HOLLY, How are you girl? Is it warm down in Georgia? We are having winter weather here..well at least it feels like winter. I'm sure winter will be alot worse.
*****NANNA JAN, CONGRATULATIONS!!!! How wonderful for you and your family to have such a bundle of joy in your lives at this time of year!Is this your first grandbaby? You'll have soooo much fun loving him! I've got 2 grandsons and they are such a joy to me!! So glad your DDIL didn't have to have a C-Section...it's so hard to take care of your baby, when your in pain from the surgery! Anyway have and enjoy him!!
Well, the up-date on my MOM is not good......Yesterday was her Birthday and DD andher family and myself went over with presents, ballons and cards to try and cheer her up, but quite honestly she was too sick to enjoy even our company, let alone a celebration! I'm so concered about her and I told DH this morning, that I'm so worried and I don't know how mich more her poor body can take. And now I'm starting to be concered about my dad as, he's been going over to the hospital dayand nite everyday for 2 weeks now and that will take it toll on you too, not to mention the stress and worry about her. I know that you all are praying for her, but can you please say an extra one...I don't know what I'd do if I lost her...she's my best friend and I love her so much.
Well, I better go....I have to get a few things done around the house then off to the hospital I go...I'll try and stop in later. Hello to everyone that came to visist after me. Have a good day today and take care...Debbie _________________ Debbie

Was cooler, through the night we had to run our heater-praying that everyone is watchful for the "black ice" and slick roads |

Good morning Kenna Lou, Holly, Jan, Debbie and all who follow! It's a wicked cold morning once again! I have turned up the furnace and crawled back in bed for a while hoping my cold, drafty house will warm up a bit. I don't have much planned today and am going to wait until it warms up before venturing outside - it's supposed to get to the 40's this afternoon. One of the PBS stations in my area is going to have a Comfort Food show this afternoon, so I plan to watch that, even though I think I've seen it before. When it goes off, I may go to WalMart and then to the cemetary to decorate my parents graves for Christmas.
Kenna Lou - don't you hate mornings that start out like this? I know there isn't much on tv that early in the morning and all those infomercials are awful. I hope you start feeling better so you are able to have dinner with your friends this evening - the ornament exchange sounds fun.
Holly - love the raindeer. How is your husbands father doing?
Congratulations Jan on the new grandchild - he is a big boy! How many grandchildren does that make? I'm so glad your daughter in-law didn't have the c-section, I've never heard of taking the baby by suction before. I have a visual in my head about the delivery, but I know it didn't envolve a Hoover...
Debbie - I'm so sorry your mother isn't feeling any better. It is so difficult to see our parents sick. I know you worry about losing her and hopefully it won't come to that. I'll continue to pray for her, your father and you.
I'm going to go for now and hope to be back later. Have a great Saturday!

MDH John's stubborn biological father (we call him that because he ran out off when MDH John was 6 months old)-after we got married, I tracked him down in 1986 and he never paid child support or even sent a card to MDH John-now he acts like he has been "father of the year"-anyways, he is still refusing to go to surgery for his hip replacement. He thinks the Macon, GA hospital is going to wait on him hand and foot 4ever. Rude awakening for him, Medicare/Social Security does NOT keep people in hospital for years on end because they refuse surgery When he saw MDH John all he said is "you have gotten fatter" which crushed MDH John, after the 90 mile ride down to see him. Still keeping him lifted up in our daily prayers. |

Kelo, Many thanks to you for your prayers and concerns we need all we can get-trying to see if we can squeeze him in Monday 12-11-2006; can't believe the doctors let him make a decision like that with him in his demorol-drugged out head-he makes no sense, anyways, and even less on that stuff |
