Hello again everyone! I just finished up in the kitchen. A couple of you asked what kind of brownies I was making so I will post the recipe. I have been using this recipe for years. What I like about it is that the ingredients are something that I always have on hand, so I can make them at the drop of a hat! I posted the recipe on TOH several times and to my knowledge, no one ever made them. I hope someone here will try them. They are very fudgy type brownie. My kids and all their friends love them.

These are the only brownies I ever make. My kids and their friends always ask for them for parties, etc. When I take these anywhere, I never bring any back home. They are really easy, too.

2 sticks margarine, melted
2 cups sugar
cup cocoa
4 eggs
1 cup sifted flour (sift flour first, then measure)
1 tsp. vanilla
cup chopped pecans (optional)

Mix all ingredients together and bake in a greased and floured 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake at 325 for about 30 minutes. Cool and cut into squares.

They sound very similar to my favorite brownie recipe. We like ours fudgy also. I forgot to add to my earlier post that after all the talk about vegetable soup, I made beef vegetable soup for dinner last evening, I hadn't made it in years. It was a hit, I love getting dinner ideas, so thank you.
