Okay, I'm super excited about this one, because it is a locally produced wine for me I've toured the vineyard and the winery and partook (?) in many a tasting at their tasting counter!
Tabor Hill American Gewurztraminer
Michigan
no year listed
$9.95 on sale (reg $11.95)
It was light, straw yellow in color. It smelled a bit sweet w/ spicey undertones. And the taste...sweet, but not overly sweet. I tasted those hints of peach and cinnamon! Just a nice, balanced sweet 'n spicey taste on the tongue!
buy again: Yes
pairing: I'd say rich dinners...or spicey dinners...something to counterbalance the sweetness. I do like drinking it w/ the whole turkey day she-bang!!! _________________ http://girlichef.blogspot.com/

Ack, I didn't even get to play this month. We've had a very sudden move and it's taken up all our time. But now someone needs to pick a new one, I'm going to need a drink this weekend! _________________ Cooking Stuff

LOL! I am right there with ya...for different reasons. Are you all moved in then? |
Nope, not yet. It's looking like we'll be able to do some tomorrow and then the rest on Saturday. The whole thing has been a very strange journey.
Hope your wanting to drink is for positive reasons... _________________ Cooking Stuff
