OOOOOOOOkaaaaaaay...so, with all of the holiday madness, I only managed to squeeze in one bottle...and now I'm gonna post it. Late even. And almost not even worth posting, sadly
Beaujolais-Villages Apellation Controlee
France
year: 2008
$9.98 on sale (originally ~$13, I think)
no intro
my review: Um. In a nutshell....Ick. Seriously, I don't even know how to describe it. It's rare I don't finish a bottle of wine, but I couldn't even finish a glass of this. It was boring and flat and nothing stood out...I'm sorry, horrible review, but I just don't know what to say....other than it gave me a hedache.
buy again: no way
recipe/food pairing: keep this away from my food
Anybody else get a chance to drink a beaujolais in the middle of all the insanity???? _________________ http://girlichef.blogspot.com/

at least you were able to post it.....I drank two bottles. Both were "ok" if I remember correctly (at least neither one ended up down the drain...that would truly be a sin)...but thats all i have and these pics....
Although I have to say...I like the little flames in the glass LOL
hey...we both had the same wine....yes...ick, until it was in the fridge over night, open. better! I swear!! (you jogged an almost lost memory)
I don't think I'd buy either one again....I can get a much better bottle of merlot or shiraz for half the price _________________ Danielle

Ha! I like the flames, too Mine was a 2008, so maybe a year made a big difference. Yeah, not one of my favorite varietals. Which totally sucks cuz I remember one (of the same brand, actually) that I adored a number of years ago...think I tried it in '02 or maybe '03 or was it '04 Somewhere in there...so probably an early '00 somewhere, LOL!! _________________ http://girlichef.blogspot.com/

Crap, here I was not feeling bad since no one else managed to do it this month and now you two have some! Heh.
Things have just been crazy, I haven't been doing much of anything fun. But now all that's over... So what's for January? _________________ Cooking Stuff
