Hope you don't mind me putting the dinner thread in today. What's coming from your stoves today or are you busy already with Valentine's day candlelight dinners?
I did some oven roasted potatoes with salad and ham

Those are potatoes??...they are so small!!
Whatever I am doing tonight will be easy. I did not make it to the grocery store this past weekend so it will most likely be something from the freezer cobbled together with whatever small things I have in the fridge. _________________ Kathy

Yes KathyK, they are small. Makes them perfect for deep frying or roasting in the oven. In Dutch they are called "krieltjes"
Wow Dajana, did the French treat your husband that bad in the food department? _________________ Fanmajie

When an Italian travels abroad, where there is no pasta, he's always hungry. And then, he's always staying in 5-star-hotels, where food is just chic, not food to eat or enjoy, at least that's what he says.
He only took a photo of the dessert

Dajana, that looks beautiful. But it is indeed a whole lot of plate and a minimum of food. The economic recession must have hit hard in France.

I'd say lots of fuss to present just a piece of chocolate on a plate. And I don't think it has to do with recession, because a night at the Carlton hotel (a simple room, not a suite) costs 1100 euros. Of course, it was all at his company's expense. _________________ Dajana
