It's almost May and I have no one committed to coming here in June, so this will be the official cancellation.........Sorry I won't get to see all of you again, but hopefully I can meet up with Ann Marie and Jim near Erie and Spryte is just around the corner, so I will make plans to see her too. Maybe another time will work better for everyone. It seems like everyone has moved on and spends less time here than before. _________________ Karen

| Oh, that's too bad, Karen! My brother's are coming to stay for awhile in June, so that's why I didn't want to commit myself. But I didn't realize that no one else could make it either! And we had such a good time last year! Well, it was really nice of you to offer your beautiful home again. Maybe later in the year? Or next year for sure? |

Karen - I wish I could have made it. The change of date wasn't a problem with me....it's just that, with Michael's brother doing so poorly, I just can't commit to any trip at this moment. When we first made plans to go to Pittsburgh, Bob was still doing fine, or so we thought. Since then, his health has really declined and we aren't sure how much time he has left. Maybe later in the summer, we'll need to get away for a little and we can meetup somewhere. _________________ Sheryle

I'm so sorry to hear that you have cancelled this. I just can't commit to two trips right now and I booked my Milwuakee trip for my EAH business. I hope you understand. Last year was a blast and I wish we could have done it again! _________________ MICHELE

I would do it in a heartbeat, but that's the reason I had to change the Pittsburgh meet up cause I'm going to be in Raleigh. I might be in New York in late August. They just started a Megabus from here to NY and if I get the reservations in early enough it will only cost $1. per person. It's a double -decker bus with WIFi and it will take about 7 1/2 hours to get there. Nicole and the kids will be here and I thought that would be a fun thing to do. She mentioned that Mary Poppins is playing there, so I looked up tickets......OMG almost $550 for 4 tickets........I'm sure I can find them a little cheaper, but not much..............there must be a book on "free things to do in NYC" LOL. _________________ Karen

Haha Eric - not true though!
Karen - You can go to the Museum of Natural History and just make a donation. It can be $1. It's whatever you decide. Of course they have recommended amounts but it's just a suggestion. lol
South Street Seaport is great to walk around. You can have lunch outside. There is a great Cuban restaurant there. (of course, the restaurant isn't free lol)
I just found out about a website called Goldstar. You can sign up to get weekly emails for whatever area you are intersted in and you can get discounted tickets to places and events. They had a great deal on Madam Teussauds (spelled wrong) wax museum. I hear it's a lot of fun.
I'm sure there are other things and I can help you figure it out when you are ready. _________________ MICHELE
