Dani- ROFLMAO (er uhm, cough) ok, shouldn't be laughing that hard because I've done "crazy" stuff too....find myself yelling at everyone that I AM NOT CRAZY.....who am I trying to convince, them or ME????
P.S....last week it was a red umbrella that I SWORE Jess used and had it in her car. (I found it behind my desk about a week later ) |

I made this recipe today, it was one of Emeril Lagasse's, but I changed a few things.
1 bottle red wine
1/4 cup brandy (I only had blueberry brandy so that's what I used)
1/4 cup orange flavored liqueur (I used triple sec)
2 tablespoon fresh lime juice
2 tablespoon fresh orange juice
1/4 cup sugar (I didn't use it because I am dieting..I could have used Splenda, but I was using Ginger Ale, so I figures that had sugar)
1/2 orange, thinly sliced (I used Clementines)
1/2 lemon, thinly sliced
1 unwaxed apple, cored, and cut into thin wedges
I also added a nectarine and a peach
1 bottle sparkling water, chilled (I used ginger ale because of the sugar and because it's all I had)
Combine everything but the sparkling water in a large plastic container or glass pitchers. Cover and chill completely, 1 to 2 hours. When ready to serve, add the sparkling water.
I've only had Sangria one or two times before, so I'm not sure if this turned out the way it was supposed to. It does taste good and hits the spot on this hot, steamy night. _________________ Karen
