What's everyone serving for Thanksgiving? If not wine... then what?

We are having a low key Thanksgiving here. We will be going to a breakfast/game day get together in the morning and then having a couple of friends over for the meal (ham, moose steaks, blueberry pie, and traditional trimmings)

I am thinking of breaking into my Bear Creek Winery Raspberry Wine that I won with my macarons. http://bearcreekwinery.com/home

My brother brought up HALF A CASE of wine from Austin yesterday. We started in on it last night, even went to Central Market and bought MORE. I think I will be spending Thanksgiving night sleeping at my parents house, even though they are a 10 minute drive from my place!

I know what you mean, there are some really good ones, and ones that I could not choke down. I try to read the descriptions before I buy them. This one had a fruity flavor.

kathy.. I love Central Market in Austin! It's a great place... I literally walked around the took photos (they asked me to stop because of the competition)... it's a market! LOL Smile

I had some great red wine, but I forgot to ask what it was. Brought a bottle I brought from Italy, but on one drank it.

Don't you hate that? When you bring a bottle of wine and no one drinks it... and then you leave it behind. Arrrrg! Next time I'm just going to save the bottle and drink it on my own. LOL

My favorite is a Shiraz as well, followed by Syrah, and Malbec.

Here is my after dinner and the kitchen is clean glass on Thanksgiving.

Actually ended up pouring it out and filling it with Shiraz instead. The wine in the picture was a Raspberry wine that I won with the macarons I made. Eck!! Way too sweet.
