Morning! Looks a little ugly out so far.

After a good sleep, I awoke around 3:30 and couldn’t got back so got up and sat at the computer for an hour or two and then went back to bed to read a while before going back to sleep….must have been after 6:00 or 6:30 because it had just started getting light. Finally woke up just before 8:00. I have made chicken salad and put some chicken thighs and wings and BBQ sauce in the crockpot. After lunch I think I’ll make some banana chocolate chip muffins.

Yesterday Michael and I went to the library….went to the one in Dublin instead of here in Hilliard, because he’s running out of books to check out here. He likes westerns and he had read just about everything here so we thought, since both libraries are part of the Columbus Metropolitan Library, and Dublin wasn’t that far away, we would give it a try. He found a lot of books and we even checked out four DVDs, problem is, we have to get all four watched before I leave tomorrow. On our way home, we stopped at Appleby’s for lunch, Sam’s to pick up a rotisserie chicken, so I could make the chicken salad (big mistake, that place was packed), and CFS to pick up some lunchmeat and cheese….if there isn’t a good sale at Giant Eagle, this is the best place to buy it. Later we ate leftovers for dinner and watched one of the DVDs.

We don’t have a lot planned for today….I want to do some last minute laundry, we’ll probably go to the Pepperidge Farm outlet and then stop somewhere to get a gallon of milk. If our bikes are ready, we’ll pick them up around 6:00 or 7:00 PM.

I will be heading home tomorrow. Since Michael’s birthday is Monday and I’ve already stayed this long, I would just wait until next week to leave, but I have a couple of local bills to pay, which I can’t view online, and a bridal shower for a great- niece on Sunday, so I’ll just be home for a short time before heading back this way.

Time to get off this computer. It’s one of those days that I know I could spend way too much time here. I’m so far behind on blog posts and should work on a couple of those but I know I would just waste time on other things instead.

Have a great day!

**SHERYLE, Sounds like your week-end went by fast like ours. Lots of good food gonna be made there too. So since it's Michael's B'Day are you going back to Columbus after the Shower and things at home get taken care of? My Brother -n-Law likes Westerns to read also. Have a safe drive back home tomorrow.

Cool and wet here in WV....I'll take that over the 100* temps we were having. Mr. Sandman never found me last nite, as I was having and still am, having such awful leg cramps. Jim will be working close to PA today and places in between, so not sure what time he'll be home, which leaves me kinda hanging about dinner plans. Might just have something quick and easy like Hot Ham and Cheese Sandwiches.

The week-end just flew by. I can't even remember if I was able to stop here and chat awhile. Went to the drive-in and seen Transformers and then Saturday went and seen Cowboys and Aliens and now Jim has promised to take me to see The Help. Avayah's B'Day Party was yesterday. Her actual B'Day isn't until Aug. 25th, so I'm not sure why she had it earlier. We all went together and got her a Barbie Jeep and believe or not she was doing really well driving it. She had one mishap of running into a flower bed.
Jim's Mom and Dad's old Console TV finally bit the dust and they got a flat screen just like ours....only thing is they can't remember the remote functions and I'm sure they will have it messed up and be upset til Jim gets home. New Technology and older people don't mix too well.

I need to go back and read the post from the week-end, Hopefully everyone had a good one. Computer is acting won't print out the words I have typed until long after I'm done. I'll have to have Jim check that out. Anyway, I'll try and stop back in sometime today. HUGS!

A clean house is the sign of a broken computer.

**Fan, I thought that you lived above the pet store so I thought you only had an upstairs. That is great that you don't have to go up and down stairs.
**Carolyn, our tomatoes are on their last leg, deer have eaten them almost all up. For once we don't mind because we got more tomatoes than ever. I am not up to canning so I froze all of mine. You have really been canning up a storm, where do you keep all your canned goods?
**Babette, I have no ideas for cleaning hard wood floors. When we first got married we had them, but we didn't have pets. Did you do an on-line search, seems like you can find anything on there.
**Sheryle, I bet Michael will be very sad to see you go. I hope your bikes are all done at the shop, so you two will be all set for riding when the opportunity comes up. Do you have Michael's freezer all full of good food? I know what you mean about the computer, I feel like it sucked up my day yesterday. Have a safe trip home.
**Debbie, that is what we got Madison for her birthday one year the pink Barbie Jeep, then we passed it on to a niece's little girl. Sounds like we all had a sleepless night, I was still awake at 5:30 and hubby got up at 7:30. I figured I might as well get up and get my day started, just couldn't take any more tossing and turning. Do they make pretzel rolls any where around where you live? Hot ham and cheese are especially good on those. I have to check and see what is playing at our local drive in, I really want to take Madison this weekend. Weather seems to be looking bad for all our outdoor plans for her, I hope they are wrong, as usual.
Gotta go get my lunch going. Hubby is hungry.

Hi everybody, have a smashing day Very Happy

I'm kind of late today. Had some arrangements to take care of and by lunchtime my boss and a colleague stepped by to see how I was doing. Suggested that they'd pick me up somewhere next week for having coffee in the office. Love the idea. Brought me back my camera as well, it survived the crash without any harm and my colleague had taken pictures with it from me being hoisted out of the building by the fire brigade. Laughing
PattiT, I have a house two doors away from the pet shop and seven doors away from my physiotherapist Laughing Lucky me.
Debbie, hop on over. We are having sunny and dry weather with comfortable temps.
Sheryle, glad you can pick up the bikes and get back to riding. I managed to make a bit of tuna salad, standing on one leg. Very Happy

Afternoon Everyone,

Can you say "I Hate Airlines". After sitting for 6 hours yesterday at the airport they cancelled my flight to Raleigh. The only one I could get was on Southwest this morning and having to go through Philly and not getting here till tonight. I made up my mind while I was waiting for Danny to come back and pick me up that I was driving down here. I went home, re-grouped (had to get my laptop Wink ) and drove to Summersville, West Virginia. Left there at 7:30 and got here at 1:00. Finally settled down for a few minutes and now I have to go pick Jordan up from school and Jake at his friends. Luckily Nicole was able to make arrangements for him today. They both had a total meltdown yesterday when they heard I couldn't get here, so after Mitch dropped Nicole off at the airport, he took them to Mc Donald's which made things better.

I'll touch base with all of you later......................Gigi duty calls.

Hi Guys!

Gigi... that sounds like a stressful situation. I almost drove to San Francisco last week after realizing it was going to take me an hour to get to the airport, wait 1 hour until the flight takes off and then an hour flight. I could of been half way to SF by that time. But then I realized I would have been exhausted driving home that night. Could have stopped at a cheap motel, but I saw Psycho! LOLOL

Have a great day guys!

Oh and about the floors.. I used hydrogen peroxide in the corner that I think is where the smell is coming from... holy smokes, I think it worked. Now I just need to do the rest of the house. Smile

Hi Everybody!
Guess what? I got poison ivy from all the work I did clearing out my daughter's garden! I haven't had that since I was a kid! So here I am, covered in pink calamine lotion. Shocked I got some antihistamine tablets too, just to try to stop the itching and redness. The only good news is that I've discovered that the tablets make me sleep right thru the night which is something I never do any more. I can't believe this happened! I know what poison ivy looks like and I didn't see any!!

For you "kitty people" here's another story for you: A little girl saw my daughter's flyers about her lost kitty, so she came to the door with a kitty in her arms that looked exactly like him. Except that he is 8 months old instead of 8 years old!! She said her mother wouldn't let her keep it, so guess what??? My daughter took it! (I don't think her's is coming back anyway... it's been a month!)
