My Crowd Cooking Corner

Why I want to be mentor in this category:
Due to our experience.

What inspires me in this category:
To be able to help cook for my first men's breakfast at our church almost two and a have years ago was a very positive turning point after my open heart surgery.

Experience:
My wife and I have cooked for up to 200 people when we planned luaus for a cultural organization we used to belong to, and now I help cook for the men's breakfasts at our church.

Biggest Lesson Learned:
Plan ahead.

Books, classes, teachers that have helped me:
Never took classes, but we have a nice collection of cookbooks (about 225).

Education, Awards, Pro Experience:
Neither my wife or I had any formal training in the culinary arts.

My Tips:

  • Remember it is just as easy to cook for 200 people as it is for 2, the only thing that is different is the amount you cook.
