BEADELICIOUS'S MENTOR PROFILE
My Poultry Corner
Why I want to be mentor in this category:
After 22 years of trying to make chicken "exciting" I have not only made most of the mistakes out there but I have also learned how to save a meal once they happen.
Mid-west beef lovin girl marries East-coast man with a fear of beef. I had to learn to not only love chicken, but to search out just about every recipe out there so he wouldn't get bored!
Biggest Lesson Learned:
A good rotisserie chicken is your best friend, buy in bulk when meat is on sale and then freeze in size appropriate packages for your family.
Books, classes, teachers that have helped me:
I own more than 40 cookbooks..if a recipe exists, I can probably find it.
Education, Awards, Pro Experience:
22 years of very happy and satisfied family members, friends and guests, no one leaves my table hungry.
- Marinate, Marinate, Marinate BEFORE you freeze, it will save you precious minutes when it comes time to prepare dinner.
- Remember rubber chickens are only funny in comedy acts, not at the dinner table. Buy an inexpensive oven thermometer and learn to tell when your chicken is done.
