Why I want to be mentor in this category:
I learned to cook the hard way, all by myself. If I can help someone else learn, it would be fulfilling and fun.
What inspires me in this category:
I am a holiday person. I love to make treats, pertaining to each holiday for my kids and grandkids.
Experience:
Each year I bake up all sorts of candy and cookies surprises to give as gifts. I am always on the lookout for new recipes.
Biggest Lesson Learned:
That experimentation is a wonderful way to create new and exciting foods
Books, classes, teachers that have helped me:
Mostly magazines, and 40 years of trial and error.
Education, Awards, Pro Experience:
Only the appreciation of my family for fixing traditional dishes.
My Tips:
- Never be afraid to try a new ingredient in an old recipe.
