Why I want to be mentor in this category:
For people who love spicy ethnic food, there's an ingredient learning curve that can be expensive. I know some short cuts and cheap cuts.

What inspires me in this category:
It represents the vitality and diversity of american. I love that.

Biggest Lesson Learned:
Chili peppers are unpredictable. Still learning, but yearning to share. rnHave learned how to shop for ethnic ingredients and how to work with them. If I don't know something, I know where to find out about it and where to buy it.

Books, classes, teachers that have helped me:
I have had classes at Ramekins in Sonoma and I've lived in South Africa, where spice was an essential ingredient in everything we cooked.
