Why I want to be mentor in this category:
I have, I'd say, a huge knowledge on pasta :)
What inspires me in this category:
Pasta is easy to cook and fun to 'decorate' with sauces and fantasy. A plate full of pasta makes the excellent lunch and it's amazing how the same main ingredient tastes so different depending on what you add :D
Experience:
I am Italian. This means I cook pasta almost everyday :)
Biggest Lesson Learned:
You shouldn't put the pasta in boiling water and simply wait for the cooking minutes suggested. You should taste it and see if it's okay or needs some more cooking. Never, Never take off the pasta without trying one first!

My Tips:
- The water you're cooking the pasta in should ALWAYS be salted. So add a bit of salt and taste it; should remind you of sea water. Not terribly salty, not unsalted.
- Did you know that, to enrich the pasta flavour for certain recipes, you can cook it in bouillon/broth, like often chefs do?
- Did you know there is a huge variety of pasta, both in shapes, sizes and colour?
