Why I want to be mentor in this category: The art of bread making, especially yeast breads seems to be dying out with younger cooks. I would really like to see young cooks get back to baking homemade breads.
What inspires me in this category: Baking with yeast inspires me because if you can successfully bake bread time and time again you can cook anything.
Experience: I have been baking all kinds of breads for over 20 years. As time has gone on, I rarely have any problems with yeast breads.
Biggest Lesson Learned: The biggest lesson I have learned is baking bread is a science. The ingredients have to absolutely accurate and measured correctly to turn out perfect bread.
Always level dry ingredients with a knife.
Never pack down flour in a measuring cup.
Always make sure the water is the correct temp for the yeast.
