Why I want to be mentor in this category: I know pretty much all there is to know about Tex-Mex food. I am 26 years old and I have been making it since my grandma taught me when I was 5.
What inspires me in this category: I was inspired to mentor in this category because there was not anyone here!
Experience: I have grown up in an area that is "plum FULL" of Tex-Mex restaurants and food. I learned to make Tex-Mex food at a very young age and I think if someone wants to know a great variation on regular Mexican food by putting the Texas twist on it, I am here to share it!
Biggest Lesson Learned: In Tex-Mex you can never have "too much cheese!"
Books, classes, teachers that have helped me: Family cooking, different cookbooks, different experiences through different people teaching me the ropes!
Education, Awards, Pro Experience: Just good ol' family traditions passed down through many recipes and ideas!
Always shoot for your best! You never know what you can achieve unless you try!
