I come from a traditional southern family and cook traditional southern foods. As a result, I never really knew how to eat proportions, how to prepare many vegetables, or how to cook without fat or cover food up with cheese. Recently I've dropped over 60 lbs and intend to lose another 10-15. I've been able to accomplish through a tough process which helped me to define healthy eating habits, and retrain my brain to see food as more than just enjoyment but fuel for my body. Coming off of this nutritional program I fully intend to find new ways to combine my love for rich, decadent and delicious food with healthy options, substititions and alternatives. I'm a fusion cook now! :)
