Favorite Food: Anything but liver and that orange summer squash, otherwise if it's food, I'll try it.
Favorite Food Moment: I'd baked some biscotti for a friend's parents. I was intimidated because they were Italian (from Italy) and had owned a restaurant in New York for 20+ years so they were VERY picky. I baked almond biscotti and also a batch of anise - they were so happy with them and liked them so much that they ate both batches from breakfast to lunch that day! Finally got a bit of confidence after that!
Favorite Cooking Word: infuse
Favoriate Restaurant: I really can't pick just one - but will try them all if given the chance...I do think that service is AS important if not more than the food - it all matters.
Favorite Chef: I'm biased and really have to say Chef Paul Vigil is a favorite, but there are so many others who cook inspirational food it's hard to choose just one.
In My Town Try: Bridge Pizza, Cafe Dolce (my friend Graham is the chef! Excellent fare) and the Pearl cafe. There are other places as well but they're new from when I lived here before and I need to try them before suggesting them.
