*Being a guest in my son's 1st grade class. They were learning fractions at the time. The teacher asked me to come to the class and show them how they will use fractions in life. What better way than cooking. I taught them how to make my "Special Weekend Chocolate Chip Pancakes" This was three years ago and the kids still talk about the class. My son and his friends are planning a pancake and movie night over the holidays.
*Volunteering at the local afterschool program to teach kids grades 1-5 how to cook and appreciate food. They loved eating what they made!
