Baking/Cooking Training: Self taught starting at the knee of my Mom and Grandmom...then on to The Sesame Street Cookbook and beyond!
Favorite Food: Shrimp!!!! Bacon, fish, pasta and appetizers! I love apps! I will take a great app or two over an entree any day!
Favorite Food Moment: Making a chocolate cake, with chocolate icing covered in popcorn when I was 9 years old - I though I rocked!!
Now that I think about it it must have been horrible lol!
Favorite Cooking Word: Microplane
Favoriate Restaurant: I think Bobby Flay is cool!
In My Town Try: Augusto's of Madison Avenue
Interests: Music, reading, playing & cooking with my kids, dates with my hubs.
Languages: Just English...sigh!
Books: I ready just about anything.
Music: Any Brit band, 30 seconds to Mars, Depeche Mode, Pink and so many more.
TV/Movies: Signs, Anna and the King & Lord of the Rings Trilogy are some of my favs.
Travel: Love Mexico, Ireland and any island destination. The magic of Disney never ceases to amaze me.
ABOUT ME
I love to make people happy with food. From simple to complicated, fun to elegant...I love it all!
I have 2 children ages 8 and 11, who have been cooking with me since they were 2. My husband is my chief recipe tester. Sometimes I "sneak" to cook since my 8 year old thinks she is a chef and should be involved in every dish coming out of our kitchen...lol. To me food is fun, food is love and food holds so very many memories...I just love it!
I am a food blogger over at www.soufflebombay.com as well as the author of a children's cookbook, which was lucky enough to be sold on QVC.
