I'm a 55 yr old happily married for 28 yrs Catholic mother of three grown kids and 8+ grand kids! I've been an organic farmer/gardener here in Ohio since I was 12. I now strive to be GMO free but sometimes need to take the least toxic method available option.*NOTE: always use organic ingredients if available!!! I like Homestyle recipes and baking best. I grow Organic GMO free Squash so you can be sure any of my pumpkin/squash recipes are seed to table! You might find my recipes of large quantity but I was taught to cook by eye and taste not by measurements. Under the strict rule of "If you don't have enough leftover to feed everyone for lunch the next day, especially the workers! You didn't make enough!" Also I don't like spicey food I think I only have 1 recipe w/ hot peppers in it (My chunky chili) ok not the peppers themselves but the seeds and powder. I think from what i'm hearing my tastes for blander food comes from my Dutch side. I enjoy the taste of each ingredient not covered up by spices! Besides I feel bad for the cooks that use all those spices if SHTF they better be good gardeners or they will not have any spice!
