For over 35 years, I have been cooking and entertaining and have come to value the importance of healthy, home cooked meals. Some of my fondest memories are of my friends and family gathered around the dining room table sharing laughs over a delicious Sunday dinner. As a wife, mother, and outdoor enthusiast, I have spent countless hours refining my recipes to share with loved ones so that they can eat well and enjoy life with a fresh body and energetic spirit 365 days a year. When I moved to Colorado I discovered my other passion for the outdoors. I live at 9000 feet in the beautiful mountains of Frisco, Colorado and love to spend my time hiking, biking, skiing, and camping. Balancing this energetic lifestyle isn’t always easy, but I have found that mindful eating and active living help nurture my mind and body, allowing me to continue doing the things I love. When my four children went away to college, I saw how hard it was for them to find the time to eat healthy amidst their busy schedules. I saw just how poorly they ate when they were on their own and that’s when I began compiling a new cookbook packed with easy to prepare recipes and quick culinary tips for them to follow. In hopes of inspiring young adults to find the balance between delicious, nutritious eating and active, healthy living, I have created a line of Aunt Deb’s gift baskets that are filled with the same recipes, tips, and tools that helped my own children create healthy habits and achieve balanced lifestyles.
