I'm 55, I absolutely LOVE to cook and bake. I'd love to learn more. My ability in the kitchen is somewhat akin to my singing... I absolutely LOVE to sing, but probably the only person Who truly enjoys it is God! That being said, my hubby seems to like it, as do my sisters and children. So, that's good enough for me! Oh! Our church and small group also seem to like what I bring... they continue to ask me to bring something! ;D

Hi Joy - I noticed your post on my chocolate cupcake recipe... did you end up making the recipe? Would love to hear if you liked them. They are my favorite, but people get confused because the batter is thinner than normal. Did everything work out for you? - Babette

Favorite Food: Seriously?! This will take some serious thought and time...

Favorite Food Moment: My first lemon-meringue pie at the age of 10. My first "true" Beef Wellington a the age of 25. The many happy, traditional Thanksgiving feasts. And daily pleasing my hubby with plain, good food!

Favorite Cooking Word: Preheat oven, bake at, cream together, chop, drippings, fold, frost, knead, line, mash, mix, peel, pinch, roll out, season, simmer, sift, thicken, whip, whisk...

Favoriate Restaurant: my dinner table (We don't eat out much.)

Favorite Chef: Julia Child, Martin Yan (Can Cook), Jacques Pépin,

Interests: Knowing God more intimately. Our children and grandchild. Cooking, baking, sewing, reading.

Books: The Bible, History, Historical fiction, Mysteries

Music: Contemporary Christian, Praise & Worship, Classical, occasionally songs from the 60's & 70's.

TV/Movies: No TV (for several years), Old movies, documentaries

Travel: love it! Been to Alaska, Hawaii, California, Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Nebraska, South Dakota, Iowa, Canada and St. Martin.

Clubs: None presently, except BakSpace!
