When my mother decided to go back to school, she asked me to pitch in with the family cooking. At only 10 years old, I gladly accepted the challenge of simple meal preparation and I've been refining my cooking skills ever since. After 14 years in the information technology industry, I couldn't deny my passion for food any longer and in January 2004 I traded in my high-tech sales for student life. I entered the Accelerated Culinary Arts Program at Kendall College and graduated as the valedictorian of my class in April 2005. By August of that same year, I opened up my own business called "Chef on Call Chicago" with my cooking partner Ryan Hutmacher. I spend most of my time cooking for private clients, styling food for television, hosting cooking classes, and catering events as part of my work as a chef for Sara Lee Food and Beverage.
