Biscotti is amazingly durable! I have almost never had damage other then an obvious kicked box. The biscotti itself is baked fresh to order, you're not getting week old cookies in the mail! You get just over 1 lb and they are shelf stable enough to last 30 days in your pantry, or you can freeze up to 6 months. They come in freezer ready bags, so you can take out what you want to eat now and freeze the rest for later.
I'm always coming up with new flavors, so keep on eye on my store to see. Some include apple, pumpkin, black forest and more!
Well they always pleased me :) Sometimes you just don't find the best of the best on the East Coast unless you are near NYC, which I am not. I do offer my biscotti ready to order: http://biscottiqueen.Etsy.com
Now, I think mine are very buttery and have a thick dense texture and not a hard crust on the outside. The longer you toast them, the harder of an outer crust they will have though. I always suggest if the dough is too crumbly, add more milk 1/2 TBSP at a time until you get the crumbs to stick together better. You do not want a bread dough texture... too moist.
Those are my best suggestions! Thanks!
