ABOUT ME
By day, I am an Accounts Payable Specialist. By night, I pick up my spatula and go to town in the kitchen. My passion is my food blog, The Dutch Baker's Daughter. I come by the name honestly, as my father really was a Dutch Baker. Occasionally, I attempt to make something Dutch, but for the most part my cuisine is Midwestern. I love to bake, I'm learning to cook, and I know how to eat....

I made the Speculaas, they were good! They did spread a lot during baking. Second time I made then I added some ground almonds. Formed the dough into 4 rolls and put them in the freezer. When I wanted biscuits I just sliced the frozen dough onto a baking sheet and baked them. Perfect and much quicker than rolling out and cutting to shape. |
