ABOUT ME
I got into baking when I was diagnosed with lung cancer and needed something to keep my mind busy when I was going through treatment - baking for the Neurology Department where my daughter is a nurse - these wonderful people have given me so much support and love. When I was diagnosed with colon cancer and had major major surgery I not only baked (had to give my surgeon some since he was so familiar with my insides by now) and started making candy using the candy molds. I have so much to learn. Neurology goes on diets but that's all right with me, I keep right on baking. They know it helps me so I am asked to bake things and when I don't for awhile they worry. I also crochet seasonal pins for the staff, make them holiday scrub tops, and sew for their children. ;-)
