ABOUT ME
;-) :mmm I am a retired hairdresser who moved to Mexico built a casa and turned it into a Bed and Breakfast.I now go to bed with breakfast on my mind ,wake up early and cook, clean and serve. I love it, we get to meet so many wonderful people. I am writing a cookbook about the kitchens of Mexico and the women who dwell in them. I feel so blessed to be invited into their homes and watch them cook a meal for their familia and myself, I will be 20lbs heavier when this book is finished.I get to write not only about the recipe, but their life story. For instance, Dona Chella' raised 11 daughters and runs a holistic herb farm,Gabby,a sharmin healer, taught me how to make friolies,Lola,a street child at the age of 7,cooks with the Copoma nut, she made a copoma cake in a solar oven, her life story brought me to tears.Placida, and her 4 daughter's made 300 tamales.I don't want to finish this book as it is a joy in my life.
