I discovered the joy of baking when I got back from my year in Belgium, and found that there was no one who made a decent bread in my area. So I had to do it myself. That launched me into a variety of cakes and cookies and other sweet treats. Bread is still my favorite, and I use it to de-stress after too much studying ;-)
