I'm in my own little world, but it's okay, they like me here :-) I grew up as an army brat in a bicultural household. My parents cooked everything from scratch, and I try to do the same but I will admit to using convenience ingredients sometimes. Nobody taught me how to cook, my mother considered it her job and we kids were not allowed in her kitchen during meal preps, and my dad only knew how to cook in mass quantities since he was a mess sergeant. I taught myself by learning how to read recipes. I am married with three children: two teenagers and a surprise package who likes to stand on her chair next to me and "help" when I'm cooking. I am an emergency room nurse so I have what has been called a warped sense of humor but I know how to behave myself in mixed company!
