I can read a cookbook like someone reads a novel. I don't think there are ever enough recipes, even though I know I would never get to them all. I have a notebook full of my cookbook "want" list and every time I add to it Ben just shakes his head. My son has started looking at my cooking magazines/cookbooks and asking "what's that". I hope he will have the same enjoyment from food and cooking like Ben and I.
My first memory of watching a movie in amazement for the food was "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory". I think I was about 4 yrs old and thought the scenes from the chocolate factory were brilliant.
I love watching the Golden Girls because the girls share memories while sitting at the table eating cheesecake. There's nothing wrong with everyone sitting at the table to share a meal and conversation in my opinion. Is the water boiling for hot tea and what are you making? Can I help?
