Douglas E. Welch
Trends Reporter

Douglas writes 5 blogs covering everything from food to gardening to New Media to technology. In his Internet travels he is constantly turning up great content on all of these topics and sharing it with his readers. Douglas has long produced audio and video podcasts on all of these topics as well.As far as food is concerned, Douglas learned to cook at an early age out of necessity.  His big, active family (3 sisters and 1 brother) didn’t always have time to sit down together for dinner. Also, Douglas is a notorious “fussy eater” which has led to his embracing food and cooking even more deeply out of sheer self-preservation. He believes one way to insure you will like food is to make it yourself.Douglas is (somewhat) famous among his friends for his Annual Christmas Cookie Party — now in its 20th year — where he makes over 100 dozen cookies, cakes and candies for his all-day open house. His “Secret” Christmas Chili has made its way into many friends recipe boxes over the year, too.All of Douglas’ blogs and podcasts are available at http://DouglasEWelch.com
