TECHmunch Food Blogger Conference NYC Bound

NOTE: We moved our TECHmunch section over here —> TECHmunch Food Blogger Conference

I can’t believe it’s been six years since my last trip to New York City. I was producing and directing a TV show called Switched for ABC Family and didn’t get to see much of the city beyond what was scheduled during our shoot – a real bummer. Our meals consisted of what we could grab on the run – double bummer.

Well, this June I’m heading back to the Big Apple for Internet Week. Since this is BakeSpace.com’s second year in a row being nominated for a Webby Award (“Best Social Network” category), I thought it was about time we checked out the scene.

NYC has some great food, but it also has some of the best food bloggers. Many I look to daily for inspiration. So, it was only natural that we’d take our TECHmunch Food Blogger Conference on the road again and bring it to the Big Apple. So, on June 10th we’ll be hosting our next full day conference at the Roger Smith Hotel. You can buy tickets here -

If you’re not familiar with TECHmunch, it’s a one-day intensive workshop/conference for for food bloggers. Panelist share the latest tools and tactics for building buzz, improving SEO, growing your audience and making money. We’ll also hear from brands like KitchenAid on how they listen to their community and work with bloggers.  And if that wasn’t enough.. the 6-hour intensive workshop is be followed by a networking mixer (don’t worry, we’ll post the TECHmunch signature drinks on BakeSpace soon).

Throughout there day we will be giveaway prizes including dozens of KitchenAid appliances, cookbooks, etc. and each attendee will receive a nifty gift bag (thanks to all our gift bag sponsors – more on those later with a whole slew of event photos we promise to take).

The event is being co-produced by my good friend Nichelle Stephens of Cupcakes Take the Cake. Nichelle and I met back in 2006 when I first launched BakeSpace.com. Her site is the number one cupcake blog on the Web. She curates the best cupcake content on the Web and has been featured on Martha Stewart’s show.
