Basic Homemade Biscuits

Making biscuits from scratch is not as difficult as many people may think. The trick to homemade biscuits is to not over knead the dough. If you knead the dough too much the flour produces more gluten making the biscuits tough instead of fluffy. You also want to use fresh ingredients. Flour that has been sitting on your shelf for two years is not likely to produce a biscuit savory to the taste buds. Same idea holds true for the other ingredients listed. The fresher the ingredients the better the taste.
